Oh...![]()
The 3D models are free to download, but unfortunately you couldn't use them in an FM as you're not allowed to redistribute them.
Oh...![]()
I know, there are tons of models there, it would have been nice to use them.
But they all seem to be using solid colours rather than textures, so there would have still been quite a lot of work to do to make them acceptable.
Eshaktaar has just reported when testing my mission in Vista that some or all of the custom script modules I'm using appear not to work at all in Vista. I'm currently using tnhScript, Public Script (I know, I'm not suppsoed to use it, Tom), and NVScript. Based on his description, I'm guessing at least NVScript is failing, as I'm using it to display onscreen text which is not appearing. It may also be that Tom's also fail, we need some more testing and data to know.
I have a Vista machine but have never tried installing T2 on it, and am not sure I can get it working either given the video card - I think it's an 8600GT which will be borderline as to whether T2 is playable. I may give it a try in the next few days, but wanted to go ahead and make people aware. Barring some miracle quick fix from NV and Telliamed, I'm planning to release my mission with a "Doesn't work in Vista" disclaimer in the readme.
i can report on it playing in vista, but not well, and the scripts all seemed to work for me, the compatibility of the scripts in vista needs to be evaluated.
There are lots of textures in this thread. Time for sound.
A while ago I made a thread about sounds and procession provided a link to this webiste, which has some excellent sounds (it also has some terrible soundsbut they can be ignored unless someone starts another Crap FM contest). If you register and log in, you can download what I think* are higher quality versions of what can be directly played from the site.
*It's been a while since I last visited this site so I can't remember.

When people post a link I suggest they put the main part of it into the 'search this thread field'. It should reduce duplication.

Found a whole load of textures here but I have no idea if they're free to use or not, as the site isn't in English.
I've just updated the main resources list. See here for the list of changes.
The Watcher's website with objects, Starforge Thief 2, is down and I dont know if it's ever going up again. Good that I had everything saved earlier. Those who'd like to host the objects can drop me a PM.
Edit: Noticed that Eshaktaar's stuff (Lightcone model & new Switches pack) is down too![]()

And then linked to an archive that hasn't been updated in two years.- Added 22 image links for the thread 'Improving some low-quality original objects'
Eshaktaar's switches are in the EP, by the way, though I recoloured them slightly to closer match the originals.
I'm looking for custome dromed menus for thief 1, does this exist? I know there is for thief 2, but i need for thief 1.
Thanks.
Nevermind, I found some on http://www.thief-thecircle.com/dromed/tools.asp

Actually, I think the copyright is assumed and resources aren't free to use unless it explicitly says they are somewhere. But if that's true it may not be that way in all countries. I wouldn't worry too much about it for our purposes.
Just stumbled across a really interesting site. It belongs to a Civil War buff, but there are some amazing high-res photos on there that would fit well into Thief. You kind of have to dig around, but it's worth it for stuff like this and this.

Had enough time to update the thread today (even though it's my birthday).
This update includes links to:
- Sensut's Dracula homepage, with many resources he used in his campaign
- a thread by Gregorius, where several objects and skins from his Dacing with the Dead campaign can be found
- the official Thief Enhancement Pack announcement thread
among others.
As usual, the list of changes can be found at the top of the thread.
Another texture website:
SimonOC - http://www.simonoc.com/pages/materials.htm
(textures, photograpy inspiration, and environment maps)
I have dromed 1.18 and I'm noob going through komag's tutorial. It says at this point I should get a texture browser. What's the best texture browser a noob could use? I'm hoping for something to make it a little easier... hopefully not harder lol.
You might already have one. If you have Paint Shop Pro, that can do it. You'd first have to extract the contents of the .crf files to some external folder.
There are other programs, but I'm not sure what they are.
There's also a texture browser here:
http://www.thiefmissions.com/tools/
(t2tex.zip)
The above at least saves you having to mess with the .crf files.
I may as well also recommend Thorin Okenshield's Object Viewer: http://www.thiefmissions.com/tafferstavern/
But this isn't the thread to go on too much about these things![]()
um... that seemed to be a bunch of textures... it just unzipped a lot of textures into my thief II folder? I don't see a browser...![]()
