Started again over a year a go, but lost a lot the dromed knowledge and had little time.

Not only I had I forgotten all about the Thief 2 editor, I had forgotten all about this message as well! Has it really been a year since you PM'ed me??

Well, the project can officially be classed under 'canned'. I have none of the old files, and no time for Thief 2 editing at the moment. If I ever take it up again, I will of course return here, but for now, this is my goodbye post. Best of luck to all other DromEders!

    ----

The intro at the top of the thread has been updated.
Notice 'What FM Authors need to know', 'General points of attention' and the 'Q & A' parts.

Because of a new rule, many missions have been removed from the upcoming list. An overview of these missions/authors, and the reason of the removal, can be found at the start of the thread (under 'Recently removed').
This doesn't mean that all these missions are abandoned. When the authors post a news message on the forums (giving their mission's status and percentage complete), they'll return in the list. At least when they don't declare their mission dead. In that case, those will be put in the abandoned missions list.

At my request. Posting happens so regularly that it's not really necessary to have it pinned at the top .

Theker: Have you abandoned Part 3 of your campaign? Too bad. In that case, consider it removed in the next update.

Be gentle with me, it's my first time.......

    Hey all,

I've decided to take the plunge and dive into DromEd and start to learn the basics, so hopefully in due course I can release a mission of my own. After playing so many FM's it's about time I started to get more involved.

Can't promise anything yet as it will be the first time I've ever tried using editing software of any kind, but I'm willing to start learning!

Already got a nice idea for a mechanist/undead mission

    Saturnine saying goodbye

Recievied the following message from him.

Hi phantom, just wanted to let you know the definitive status of any fms I have been working on, There will be no 7th crystal 2, ever! I really want people to know this once and for all, and I think your thread is the best place to do so.
Also Theres no Pirate mission either, that was abandoned YEARS ago!
I'm not working on anything now and I won't be making any missions again.

'Rose Cottage', (my very late horror contest entry) was abandoned when I finally decided I really really hate dromed, but that has been adopted by Slyfoxx and Yandros, who hope to finish it up and release it this halloween.

Other than that I think I'd rather be removed from the list completely as I definitely won't be making anything else in dromed.

    Thanks

    ~David

    Aw crap...

If he really abandonned these missions, it might be good to ask him if he could release them for adoption.

But I thought Underdogg_pirate was his protegé?

This just proves he's a celebrity, getting harrassed by his adoring fans, even though he's retired. Maybe there should be a statement in the 7C readme, and the download page.

    "Coming back?"
    "No."
    "Soon?"
    "Uhh, no..."
    "Next week, maybe?"
    "Look...I--"
    "Next week and a day?"
    "Please understa--"
    "Someday this year?"
    "..."

What a pity! At this point I think I may tell that I saw a pic of his last work and it was just outstanding. A marvellous creepy atmosphere. I really really hope that he will change his mind.

I agree, his is a rare talent and if he does not choose to return he will be sorely missed.

Saturnine, if you are reading this you should know that we understand but it greatly saddens us. Your gifts to the community are unique and treasured. If you ever decide to return it will make a lot of people very happy.

Damn, too bad to hear that from Saturnine, sounds like he is in a bad moment... hope everything will go well.

But even now is good news.
