Thirith? What about the children? What about ME!?![]()
This is pretty much the continued rape of Origin's long-dead corpse. I don't care if Bioware's doing it. Fuck off, EA.
You're just an also-ran. Sorry, that's how it works.

Oh look, another classic game series gets a pointless shitty sequel/reboot for a quick cash grab due to brand recognition.
Nice to see videogame industry catched up so quickly to the movie one. They grow up so fast
Hmm, yeah.
Next up: Real-time strategy Monkey Island 6.
RTS is deader than point & click adventure, actually.
I keep reloading that page but it's still not showing the third RPG archetype. I'm going to email the webmaster.
My blood pressure's too low for a heart attack. Instead this just makes me deeply sad. And I'm only half joking, like that depressing episode in Finland in Jarmush's Night on Earth.
Now I know what Koki must feel like when he sees Fallout 3![]()
Looks appalling.
EA may be doing it just to spite the fans. It's brilliant.![]()
What does cross-platform mean in this case? Browser-based? Tablets and phones? XBLA and PSN?
VGA, EGA, CGA and Hercules. Monochromatic rules.
"Accept the challenge from Lady British and save the land of Britannia."
LADY British?! WTF?! Political Correctness in action?
Why are there multiple classes and why is it Multiplayer? There is only one Ultima protagonist and he's some blonde male douche from Texas.
Anyway:-
Garriott has the rights to the name Lord British and he likely has little love for EA so I guess that's their solution.
NO IT'S POLITICAL CORRECTNESS GONE MAD HURMPH BURMPH THAT'S THE ONLY EXPLANATION

Ultima did have multiple classes though, especially ultima 4, even though it only affected starting stats .
Also:
The sad part is: not only will they screw up building something on ultima, they'll also screw up doing something on what made ultima online one of the most unique mmos still.
UO still exists to this day. I don't see the point of reinventing the wheel. All they need to do is transfer it to a "freemium" model and boom, you'll have fresh blood.
