There's an Everquest 11th anniversary sale on Steam if anyone is feeling retro. The game plus no less than 15 expansions for $2.50/€1.99/£1.99

For those of you who missed the US$5 Steam/D2D deals, here's a retail PC copy of Saints Row 2 for US$5 + shipping. Ignore the disc-just look at the back of the manual and punch the key into Steam.

Too bad the US$3 shipping took seemingly forever to arrive (8 business days in my case; it was shipped from Canada and I live in the Southeastern US, which could explain why), and the more expensive option makes it even less of a sale compared to those past Steam/D2D sales.

(I'll soon be comparing SR2 with GTA IV for myself-no dependence on Yahtzee or anyone else.)

^- forget this, just heard that this is the normal version, with all the same problems.
Any clues about the issues? I have it on XP on my netbook, and can't get through training ... the game either starts black after selecting training or freezes soon after going through the first area.

Sounds like you need to use DDfix + apply an affinity fix to force it use single core only.

Tafferpatcher should address all of your needs.

AI War + Expansion: $15 US on Steam, or $10 and $5 separately.

I got this game, plus expansion separately for $25 total. $15 isn't bad.

A pay-what-you-want-provided-it's-at-least-US$1 sale for a bundle of two shmups: Bullet Candy Perfect and Irukandji.

The former is in the Robotron/Geometry Wars style, and the latter is a bullet hell type. Follow the links for gameplay videos.

Sale lasts until the 9th of April (timezone not specified), and there's a buy-it-for-a-friend facility.

The hilarious-looking Space Phallus is also a freebie from the same developer.

Trials 2: Second Edition direct from RedLynx for US$2 until April 14th.

DRM seems to be limited (3) online activations with the RedLynx servers. (I only bothered investigating that because I would have bought a second copy if it was DRM-free.)

    Direct2Drive Spring Sale

Looks like it'll be four weeks worth of sales. Here's Week 1:

    Atari 2010 Spring Bundle: $64.95
    King's Bounty Gold Edition: $14.95
    Neverwinter Nights 2 Gold: $9.95
RollerCoaster Tycoon 2: Combo Park Pack: $4.95
Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth: $4.95
    Dark Void: $14.95
    Battlestations: Pacific: $17.95
    Elven Legacy Complete Edition: $19.95
    DCS: Black Shark: $14.95
    Fallout 3: $14.95
    Gothic 3: $4.95

There's a few more games below that which I'm not sure are tied to this particular week of sales, if only because they're not in the initial list.

(Also, DCS: Black Shark is tempting, but it has StarForce. God damn it...)

Holy Christ! That game Trine is $5 on Steam. I don't know a THING about it, but it is so highly regarded both on TTLG.com and on all of the gaming podcasts I subscribe to, I had to have it. It was five freakin' bucks. I've spent more on a soda at a ball game.

    It was also recently updated:

    [-]April 19, 2010 - Trine Update Released

Updates to Trine have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include:

    Trine

Added free DLC level - "Path to New Dawn" (available upon completion of the game)

Thanks for playing and supporting Trine!

Added information about experience and secrets to the Inventory menu

Added version numbr information to the main menu

Fixed a respawn bug in Iron Forge level (in co-op) near the first gate

    [-]April 7, 2010 - Trine Update Released

Updates to Trine have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include:

    Trine

Tweaked Steam Achievement "Still no fireball" requirement from 500 to 200 objects

Added new resolutions to the Launcher (uncommon resolutions can still be added by editing options.txt and setting the resolution with lines screen_height_and screen_width)

Added support for manually configuring which input devices to use in config\options.txt (player1_keyboard_ID, player1_mouse_ID)

    Added Turkish language support (text)

Fixed "Up" control to no longer make the player jump by default

    Fixed Windowed mode titlebar support

Fixed mouse cursor in widescreen (aspect ratio)

Fixed a rare crash when the player touches a falling rock as it breaks

Fixed a rare crash when a water splash effect is played while the player exits to menus

Fixed a rare bug that occurred when the player switched characters and died simultaneously

Fixed final boss animations sometimes not working properly (Tower of Sarek)

Fixed a co-op respawn bug with the last checkpoint (Tower of Sarek)

Fixed a collision issue in the Iron Forge level (caused the Thief to take damage from lava)

    Fixed several oxygen gauge bugs

Fixed autoaim bugs in Tower of Sarek

Fixed the Boots item to work properly (reduces spike/goo damage)

Fixed random failure of overwriting save slots in the New Game menu

Fixed incorrect behavior with menu select confirms when using a gamepad

Fixed menu behavior during fade outs

    Fixed Credits section names again

Note: a check for Radeon 5000 Series (5400-5900) AND Vista/Windows 7 has been added to disable high quality videos that cause random video-related crashes with these systems; this check is disabled with option "force_high_quality_video = 1" (which may be useful if e.g. new graphics drivers fix the problem eventually).

I jumped on this deal... From what I've heard about deus ex I figured I should add it to my library of games... it's just i didn't want to spend a lot for it... but the steam deal was just too good to pass up for me.
