Finally got The White Lies so been listening to that. Very nice for a sunny Sunday drive down the motorway.
You actually want that thing? If I ever find it, I'll find a place to upload it and you can enjoy your torture.
Warning! Do not listen to the CD whilst watching Gummo, as a hole to Hell is sure to appear and unleash horrors on our world the likes of which have never been seen before.
Not really sure what the song is about. Get's very little old rock play time. Depending on young you are(?), you may not have heard it. I think he is saying deuce but thought years ago he was talking about a woman hygiene product.
Manfred Mann - Blinded by the Light
Jarboe - Troll Lullaby. Over and over again. That's because I'm playing The Path and most of the soundtrack is built on variations of the song.
I was wondering why Stitch and band never made a music video?
Flying lotus-Camel. My mind is literally falling apart listening to this album(Los Angeles). I have absolutely no idea how I missed this last year, and it's a bit tough to try and pick out one song from the album, because it all flows together brilliantly. Loud is the only option here, honestly.
I've just spent the last two hours on the floor listening to this up insanely loud just to feel the bass through the floor. Easily one of the best put together albums I have heard in a while, not just because of the way one track melts into the next, but also because of the depth of sound and texture it achieves (it's the kind of music that makes it feel like you're sitting in the middle of a big block of jelly, or something). Back to the floor.
Yeah, Los Angeles is great. I bought it last week; I should start a list of all the albums from '08 that shouldve been on my top ten.
Nazareth - Hair of the Dog Not really sure what the lead singer is blowing into but theBlackman might know. Had that album on 8 track at one time. It got stolen at a Ted Nugent concert in high school. I guess it doesn't matter since it is hard to find 8 track tape players anymore.
Massive Attack - New dawn fades (Redux from Joy Division)
You may remember the track from the movie ''Heat'' (95') where AlPacion on the highway chases down Robert DeNiro at night.
Damn awesome song!![]()
I know I'm getting hit with an oar for this.
The Lonely Island - I'm On A Boat
The Partisan by Leonard Cohen
...love this song.
When they poured across the border
I was cautioned to surrender,
this I could not do;
I took my gun and vanished.
I have changed my name so often,
I've lost my wife and children
but I have many friends,
and some of them are with me.
An old woman gave us shelter,
kept us hidden in the garret,
then the soldiers came;
she died without a whisper.
There were three of us this morning
I'm the only one this evening
but I must go on;
the frontiers are my prison.
Oh, the wind, the wind is blowing,
through the graves the wind is blowing,
freedom soon will come;
then we'll come from the shadows.
Les Allemands e'taient chez moi, (The Germans were at my home)
ils me dirent, "Signe toi," (They said, "Sign yourself,")
mais je n'ai pas peur; (But I am not afraid)
j'ai repris mon arme. (I have retaken my weapon.)
J'ai change' cent fois de nom, (I have changed names a hundred times)
j'ai perdu femme et enfants (I have lost wife and children)
mais j'ai tant d'amis; (But I have so many friends)
j'ai la France entie`re. (I have all of France)
Un vieil homme dans un grenier (An old man, in an attic)
pour la nuit nous a cache', (Hid us for the night)
les Allemands l'ont pris; (The Germans captured him)
il est mort sans surprise. (He died without surprise.)
Oh, the wind, the wind is blowing,
through the graves the wind is blowing,
freedom soon will come;
then we'll come from the shadows.
I'M AT THE PIZZA HUT
I'M AT THE TACO BELL

Imagine that some no-name 80s synthpop band invented a timemachine, traveled forward in time 20 years, stole Jack White's songbook, got back in their machine, went back to the 80s and straight into the recording studio. The result of that recording session would probably sound a lot like Obscenity Trial's cover of "Seven Nation Army".
Just picked up the new Dream Theater yesterday - "Black Clouds and Silver Linings." Much more solid and focused than the last few releases, but I fear their lyrics are becoming a bit mundane and silly compared to Awake and Scenes from a Memory. Interesting to watch them evolve in their own little bubble though.
Here's the video for the new single "A Rite of Passage" - pretty indicative of the album as a whole.

RIP MIchael!![]()
Amanda Palmer - Leeds United
Taking a proper look at her solo album, as well as The Dresden Dolls for the first time. Totally digging it.
Stop listening to my mp3 player, Morte. I picked up WKAP this past weekend and have pretty much been listening to it non-stop. 'Leeds United' makes me want to dance around like Robert Sean Leonard in the climactic dance hall scene of Swing Kids.
Of couse, when you enter Parliament, you will all also be ripped to the teats on fine cocaine...
Linkin park - New Divide.
...i'm sorry God...
Broke-Modest Mouse
