A Little Mouse Junior Member posted May 31, 1999 10:45 AM Ok, I'm a silly little mouse. I have no idea what these meta-properties people are talking about are. I know they are used on guards and such to get results like ignoring the player untill provoked correctly and such. Meta property are caracteristics that u can enable or disable after a certain event. For exemple,add the meta M-HeardAlarm to a guard,so he will react only when the alarm is ringing.here is an exemple: -build 2 rooms -put 1 switch connected to an alarm (use link ControlDevice) in the first room,then a guard in the second room. -Add a marker in the middle of the first room -edit caracteristiques of the guard then add him a Meta: M-HeardAlarm. -INSIDE this meta-propertie,add the AI response signal.Configure it like this alarm;High;Add/remove Meta;Remove;M-HeardAlarm;Goto object (your marker);enable investigate) Now,if u press the alarm,the guard comes and investigate.But if u hadn't remove the meta-property M-HeardAlarm after the guard heard the alarm for the first time,he would continu to go to the marker without stopping (the AI make a loop).
