Einar New Member posted July 02, 1999 08:03 AM I have built a large level. Created all the brushes, textured the surfaces, placed the appropriate room brushes, and created and placed all the necessary light sources and inventory. And finally I've placed the starting point for Garrett. I've also portalized a million times during the process, loaded the convict script, and updated the path finding database, built the room database and room AI database. After all this, everything seem to work in the level, the lighting is okay, the sound is fine, and door's and footlockers etc. can be opened, and books, vases etc. can be picked up. But when I create a sword "detailed sword" and place it in Garrett inventory, everything seem to go wrong, in the respect that Garret can't open any door's anymore, or pick anything up?? (PS: I contained the sword to the marker) And if I afterwards place a servant in the level, Garrett seems to be invisible to him, but the servant can still hear Garret?? I would be extremely happy for some hints on what the problem could be. Thanks in advance. IP: Logged trickster Member posted July 02, 1999 09:25 AM Not 100% sure, but I don't think "Detailed Sword" is the one - I think that's a decorative sword not meant to be picked up. Try just plain "Sword." (Or "Constantine's Sword.") ------------------ When are they gonna bring me my dinner, that's what I want to know. When are they gonna bring me my dinner? IP: Logged †äƒƒê® New Member posted July 02, 1999 03:10 PM Yeah, only "Sword" and "Constantine's Sword" only works for Garrett... IP: Logged Einar New Member posted July 03, 1999 02:56 AM Thanks! I wanted to use the Detailed sword, because it seemed to be used in Baffords mansion, but I must have been wrong. IP: Logged KGoodsell Member posted July 03, 1999 01:49 PM Yeah, there's no PlayerArm model for it. However, you could probably make a sword look like the detail sword in the level, but after you pick it up it will look like a normal sword (or a C's sword). -Kevin IP: Logged All times are ET (US)next newest topic | next oldest topic Administrative Options: Close Topic | Archive/Move | Delete Topic Hop to: Select a ForumList of Forums:General--------------------Community Chat & RPGDeveloper's AnnouncementsFlight SeriesLooking GlassLGS Classics--------------------Terra NovaUnderworld 1 & 2System Shock--------------------System Shock 1 & 2Thief--------------------Thief 2 & Thief Gold WishlistThief Editors' GuildThief Contact Us | TTLG Forums Copyright Gibbed, 1999.
