The most likely thing is that noone is sharing it. There aren't too many sources for SS1 anyway, let alone the Mac version. Emule has pretty rare stuff, but I think this is over the edge![]()
What up with E-Mule?
Has anyone dled the SS1 mac version off E-Mule did you get it to begin downloading at all?
I cant even begin to dl not one bit of data from anything at all am I doing something wrong or missing a patch/update

there is a link to a emule server with SS1 Mac version on it at wuggles under the Looking Glass Classics Section
I'm connected 12h/d on average, Wuggles even more. It's more like that you won't share back once you have the files, you filthy leeching bastards.
I have had emule open and had my computer waiting to dl the game for 4 hours not even 1 Byte of information was downloaded this is redicuous
Ohnoes, 4 hours! I have had downloads that took days to start, and literally weeks to complete. Kids these days...

Not all kids are impatient with downloads. I downloaded a 436 megabyte program once, on dial-up. I think that must require a little patience.![]()
All three CD ISOs of Mandrake Linux 8.2, about two years back. On dial up.
Look, it's the Mac version of a ten-year old game. I'm sharing the Windows version, but I can understand not many people have the Mac version, let alone share it.
I just searched within Emule for system shock mac and it didn't return a single result. I think the best options are getting someone here to share it for a while or to request it on a forum somewhere and hope someone has it.
What's so good about the Mac version? It probably won't even run on modern Macs.
It has higher quality V-Mails, for example.

On behalf of the community I am serving the Looking Glass classics for about two years now, Wuggles contributes since a handful of months. We use host based links so that you always get at least two sources. That feature's advantage can AFAIK only be exploited in eMule and its ports.
I know. Still, two sources isn't much. They have to be on at the moment, and you must manage to find them. I doubt that much more than you two are sharing the Mac verison, actually![]()

SNAFU would it be possible for you to upload all the V-mails and cinematics to Wuggles? They are all in Quicktime format correct?
Didn't we have this exact same discussion a month ago?

Hey guys. My mirror is NOT up right now. I'm on vacation, and I don't like to leave my computer network plugged in while I'm not home (Florida is, after all, the lightning capital of the world). I'll be back up in about 5 days. But " It's more like that you won't share back once you have the files, you filthy leeching bastards." is true. I should post the download stats just so you can see how many of you there are.
Thats not a problem I always used Kazaa and never heard of E-Mule.
Im used to kazaa downloading right away but since E-Mule DL's different than Kazaa I can wait. Once I get the mac version Ill upload it so 3 sources are out there. We should all upload a source once we have recieved it but thats just not everybodys cup of tea =/
Yes, we did. Wuggles told me he wasn't interested in uploading 'em.Originally Posted by Uncia

If you could do so I would appreciate it. If wuggles isnt intrested I know I am if you convert them to quicktime PM me so i can download them from you if others are intrested ill host them somewhere
Alright, but ONLY IF I get at least 10% of the royalties you make off of 'em.Originally Posted by RootbeerTapper

Yes, please. I'm dying to see those better-quality V-Mails
EDIT: If you can't find any webspace and if they're not too large, just ask and you can mail them to me. I'll upload them to my webspace. If they are large, I'll find some space somewhere. Or just make a torrent![]()

No, read the PM/email/whatever-it-was again, SNAFU. I didn't say I wasn't interested in uploading them, I said I wasn't interested in having them. FLASHBACK!
ZB wants the V-Mails. He doesn't have Mac SS1. I do, but I don't own a mac. I try using various emulators, but in the end SNAFU comes through, owning a Mac. He gets the v-mails, and he asks whats the best way to send them to me (and I assume he sent a similar email to ZB, as that was the whole point). I pointed out that it was ZB who wanted them, not me, so there wasn't much point in working out a way to send them to me.
But... if anyone else wants them, when I get back from my vacation, I'll have SNAFU send them to me and toss 'em up on Wuggles Unlimited™.
Hehe... sorry about the miscommunication there Wuggles. I thought I said something to the effect that you could host them, but guess I messed up.
I'll see to it I get them to you soon. I seem to recall extracting all of them.
How would you like me to send them to you as well?
