    2 for 2

    Two questions for Shock 2!

Has anyone figured out how to unbind a psi power or tier after it's been bound to an F key? Editing the .bnd files doesn't help as apparently that data is stored in the saved game. I could've sworn I unbound one in-game with some key combination, but damned if I can figure out how to do it again...

Oh, and has anyone encountered a bug where you're unable to drop an auto-repair unit/French-Epstein device/maintainence tool? It's been happening to me frequently; the game seems to think I'm trying to repair the air.

I dont know about the Psi Dicipline Tiers but when I played SS2 on Windows XP for the first time alot of strange things happened including the unmovable/undeletable/undropable Maintenance tool/hypos

certain segments of code must of gotten jumbled or something. When I started using dromed the problem was fixed but then I kept getting that same bug. I put all my .crfs into a folder called Res rebooted the computer and never had the bug sense. But your bug could be caused by a number of things

I just tried the process you suggested, but the game wouldn't run, so I had to move the CRFs back.

Anyway, I figured out how to rebind a psi power or tier. Rebinding doesn't work if you just press shift + F key with the power selected; you need to open the psi menu, mouse over the power/tier, and then press shift + F key. With a combination of this and editing the BND files, you can effectively bind any psi power to any key.

... or at least you should be able to. Editing the BNDs (like bind v "quickuse 1") just makes me spin nonstop. Well at least one problem's solved.

Move the crfs into res, then change install.cfg so that it looks like this

    cd_path .
    install_path .
    language english
    resname_base res
    load_path .
    script_module_path .
    movie_path cutscenes

Make sure all the files are installed onto your drive, because it won't find them on the CD now.
