immersive game review and analysis videos

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to appreciate immersive sims. The gameplay is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of game theory most of the deep immersion will go over a typical gamer’s head. There’s also Garrett’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of this design, to realise that it’s not just immersive- it says something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike immersive sims truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the humour in Shodan’s existential catchphrase “look at you, hacker” which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev’s Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as LGS game directors’ genius wit unfolds itself on their computer screens. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂

And yes, by the way, i DO have a Looking Glass tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It’s for the ladies’ eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they’re within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid 😎

    Stephen Hawking said it best.

People who boast about their I.Q. are losers.
    Nothing personnel, of course.

Well, at least he posted this subhuman tryhardism in the place it deserved; i.e., not GenGaming.

He's doing a thing. He didn't need to do that thing. It's a poor fit for this place.

It seemed like a thing, but when he went to the trouble to link a whole bunch of stuff about immersive sims, he seemed really into it. Lame no matter how you slice it.

I was gonna move this to Gengaming, but the IQ thing, and the political strife that's been stirred up because of it, does make what should be a clear cut decision harder to make.

Well, I thought it was kind of funny and fitting.

This thread is kind of a kneejerk reaction to all the douchebags that have now flooded the internet. I've ran into a few myself, so I can understand the sentiment, at least. They're a hard bunch to tolerate.

True. I remember him. Definitely not a troll. He was helpful even. I think this is supposed to be funny but I don't have the IQ for it.

The whole text is a copypasta. And the references to Russian literature are made up. Rasputin is not happy.

Yeah, but it's totally fitting, and I say that as an immersive sim snob myself.

The links also had some commentary I hadn't heard before either.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to appreciate the OP. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of text analysis most of the jokes will go over a typical reader’s head.

    Ah, forget it, too meta.

I apologise for reviving this old thread. I read this back when it was new, but I was on a laptop in hospital and did not have my login details at the time. Here's what I wrote in response:

    I am quite strongly
    A: mused
    and, simultanelously also equally
    B: mused.

Well done, Daxim. Bonus points, triple score, triple muse. Long time, no speak.

That is quite clever. But really, analysis videos are exclusively done by:

    - People who have nothing better to do (degenerates)
    - NEETs (degenerates and also the same thing)
    - Degenerates. Being honest on the third try here.

So their opinions on anything about anything are at best an exercise in observation of delusion.
