Make up your own #FakeNews, get it featured in a game

    Hey folks!

I'm running a little contest for my next game about controlling the media and its impact on society, coming out on October 3rd! Just submit your own brief #FakeNews excerpt and the most popular one will be included in the game upon release!

Plus, you get to play around with it in your browser just as you would in the game

    [ Make Your OWN #FakeNews ]

HEADLINER, is a short media bias adventure game about controlling the news and its impact on your career, society, and family. Share your story, and see what the Headliner before you did.

Well, I did one for ya.

Sorry Yak, I don't have a Twitter thing, so I'm just sharing the link: Irate in Oztown.

Edit: hm, the text disappeared in the Flash animation? Oh well. Redacted before its prime. Here's a screenie prior to inglorious censorship:

Strange. Works for me. Here are my entries. May be biased by my experience with the Molotov Guy game...

Oh weird, looks like it's a Firefox issue using custom fonts. Give it a shot in Chrome or Edge, I'll take a look when I get a chance.

You could always take a page from "Teen Wolf" and have a news story about a teacher having an unfortunate accident with a vacuum cleaner.

Update on the contest - Buccura Seifert's submission won and is now officially in-game

I kind of liked the idea and thinking of making it an ongoing thing - maybe like a weekly rotation of the most popular user-submitted article?

I'm just looking at that and wondering if "Parish Agreement" is an intentional fictionalisation/reference for the Paris Agreement, or if it's a typo.

I actually did make it Paris, I guess they changed it. I don't mind, though, kinda makes it funnier

Yea one of the stipulations was no real-world references, so I just added the extra h to let it slide ;p
