    Stone / Concrete Guard

    Does anyone know which mission had the Stone or Concrete guard that said "And Crush You and Crush You"? I'd like a create a similar guard.

    The closest that I found was Targa's haunt, which is awesome but, I want the footstep sounds.

    As far as I know this is a DEDX creature (Ogre or something). Install it and you'll see.

    That voice comes from the thief 3 stone ai creature, but i think Gaetane used those voices in one of her Arsene sequel missions

    I remember it from before I played FMs. So it was somewhere in the Original Thief1 or 2. I can't find it in either .crf though. I can see them guarding long hallways and the only way out is down a stairwell. (LOL not very helpful).

    I do think that someone also used these guards in an FM. Something with a Female red tree Beast.

    My mind is 1/2 blank with this one.

    Iron Heart FM had stone guards based on original T2 guard models. Complete with the footstep sounds.

    Check vmojo (SND/mojo1/english/mo1chg_1) in DEDX

    If I recall correctly, GaŰtane made a reskinned treebeast that looks like stone and uses these sounds/voices in The Black Frog. I believe it's in mission 4.

    I am using Dromed 1.25 with TafferPatcher_TMA_218_beta with New dark added.

    I am not sure about adding Dedx. Aren't Dedx features included in the 218 patch?

    Tanner: I will check the Black Frog. It was such a memorable mission yet, I don't remember the AI in it. I will look into that too.

    You'll need a separate installation for DEDX. Copy the existing T2 folder somewhere and install DEDX there

    Create a base map with the DEDX gamesys. Create a guard. Add speech-->voice-->vmojo

    I give up! Guard worked fine. I added speech>voice>vmojo and he stopped making all sounds. No footsteps or voice. Even when he's attacking me.

    Hammer says with an accent - "Oh der you are" "You think you can hunt me"

    Ape has no voice.

    It doesn't seem that vmojo came with DedX. At least the one I just download.

    I really could have sworn it was an AI from the original Thief2. Maybe I am not remembering clearly, I don't know.

    You hear the deep stone man voice when you open that .cow?

    The ape has the same speech as the hammerite. You can listen to the wav files. It's in SND/mojo1/english

    OK, I listened to the .wavs which DID match your .cow AIs.

    Unfortunately, that is not the voice I am referring to.

    This voice is not human-like. More deep and beast-like because he is concrete/stone.

    Thank you for your effort though. I can see why you thought vmojo was it.

    I think I was wrong about The Black Frog. I may have confused it with a different mission. I'll see if I can recall which one.

    The stone guardians are originally from Deadly Shadows, just get the voice files from there and write your own schemas to bring them into T2.

    That's the voice Unna Oertdottir (ss1to3_2).

    I think he was used in a few FMs. I could have sworn he was originally T2.

    I am installing the Editor for T3 so I can look into the files for his mesh.

    The hunt continues........
