If you fancy an acid anime trip that ends with you washing up ashore with waves of jagged synth lapping against your feet:
If you have a racist friend, now is the time for your friendship to end.

Beautiful!
I love XTC, they're my time machine. Whenever I hear them, I'm instantly transported to a time when Dr Who, the ZX Spectrum and Top of The Pops ruled the earth (well, they did for me).
Thanks for that.
Spot on, Chris.
DAT NEW IBIBIO IS BANGIN
also can anyone tell me what synth-tune is being sampled at 0:15? It sounds just like something from the 80's, but I can't put my finger on what.

Until about 2007 I had never heard about Tony Joe White. So if you've known him since the 60s or 70s you can ignore me now. But you may also understand the kind of revelation that was. Like suddenly you find there's a guy who's up there with Dylan, Donovan, or the goddamn Stones. And I was so glad to have found him and infected everyone around me. A friend and fellow student at the time used to work the turntables at a few clubs I went to and soon I danced to TJW at those clubs. Fun times. Dramatic times too. I left my girlfriend for 9 years at that time, because I felt stuck and was desperate to fall in love again. But in doing so I hurt her bad. I wasn't swayed in my course but I still liked her a lot. And I hoped she would forgive me and move on, which she did eventually. We're still friends.
Spurred on by the main menu music of Gremlins Inc. I've recently been listening to a bunch of Swing & Electro Swing like this:
Having a ZZ Top afternoon in the office, currently listening to Gimme all your lovin'. Had some Little Feat earlier. May need to change things up and switch to Friday Disco Mode.
Spot on, Chris.
My absolute favourite Severed Heads track!
Spot on, Chris.
Spurred on by WingedKagouti's love for electro swing I digged out this gem, which featured heavily in the excellent game The Saboteur.

Most of the times i listen to Autechre
I really like the dude's voice.
I suppose it was inevitable for a band that specialised in lean and precise pop-rock to embrace the zeitgeist with a huge dollop of synthtronica, but they've lost none of their tightly articulated hooks in the process. Fantastic work, Phoenix.
I like country singers, I like sad country songs, and I love sad country songs about country singers.
I also like those July Talk and Phoenix tracks.
Had to look pretty long for a band like this. But's it's all good now.
