    T2 FMS : a night in Rocksbourg 1 and 2 (12/29/05)

    Hello everyone,

The translations are finally over. It took more time than expected, but that's because I chose to do some voice recording.

    - Campaign : Une nuit à Rocksbourg (A night in Rocksbourg)
These events take place immediately after Thief II and some time before Thief III.

    - First fm : Un nouveau départ (A new beginning) 50Mb
    http://thiefmissions.com/info.cgi?m=RocksbourgDepart

    - Second fm : Decouverte (Discovery) 80Mb
    http://thiefmissions.com/info.cgi?m=...ourgDecouverte

If anyone gets stuck and cant get ahold of DrK, I beta'd these 2 FM's . You will even hear me doing the voices of a guard or two ;-) Im the one with a dodgy english/irish accent lol

Hem... These FM looks suspiciously like the betas, according to their size. (50MB + 80MB). I think they should be MUCH smaller.

Maybe there was a mistake, I sent a mail to DrK to confirm that.

Edit : for KuBiLaY17 and everyone else, these are the first TWO parts of a 6-mission pack in the making.

Edit2 : Got UNAR1_Depart.zip, it is the good one ! Downloading the second one. I mirror them as soon as I can.

FTP server as megaupload is being a pain

    OK you Taffers...

As Scrooge is already hosting the first FM, but is having problems with the second, I will leave my server on overnight. 3 user limit and 30k bandwidth, but take note Im uploading same said FM to komag for him to host. So just leave it downloading over night, it will get there eventually :-)

    ftp://212.84.118.234

I have emailed Biohazard at 'The Circle' re: getting him to host the FM's there aswell.

Well, I've played the first one for a fair old bit. They're certainly very well designed. Great atmosphere!

I'm a trifle stuck. I've wandered around the entire town knocking people senseless. So far the only thing I've managed to achieve is to get the Mechanist ore

Are there any keys I should have found? I can't find any!

    er...

    Hi Scrooge

These FM looks suspiciously like the betas
no they are not! the size is due to the briefing and sound files. DrK has had enough for now so the sizes can not be made any smaller, sorry ;-)

Do the zips need to be joined together or simply played one after the other?

    :-)

    hi potter,

Each zip file is a seperate FM, just download both to your T2 mission directory, open up with darkloader or garratloader and both will appear as seperate missions etc.

Just a word of warning : videos are compressed with Windows Media Vdeo v3, appeared with Media Player 9 and beyond...

So people who have latest Media Player is OK, for the others the installation for the codecs are in the zip themselves, in the same place as the movies, in "movies" directory.
If your movies don't play, install the codecs.

How big are these codecs? It might be a bit annoying for people who already have the latest versions if the FM zip file contains stuff they don't need.

I think I'll wait, I have no patience for long downloads. Your link was a very slow 30kbs and I have a 5Mbs pipe. Why not see if they could be served from KOMAG?

these are not big at all. what makes the files size huge are the high number of object textures and the several sounds in the fm. I can't make them lower, sorry.

It seems there are problems with downloads. I'll check this out.

Edit: well personally I don't have any prob downloading them. Still it seems it's not the same with everyone. I think there are time limits or something, for the bandwith. Anyone who can mirror them is welcome

    Codecs etc

Zach, The answer was in your post, DrK has included them with the FM files.....

Zwolf, Ive mirrored the files on my own personal connection, hence the lowly upload speed. And the reason I did it was the help aleviate the problems people are having with megaupload >:-/

Komag, as has been mentioned, would it be possible for you to mirror the FM's on your site..?
