    A Shopping Stopover FM -- January 3 2006

Well, I never thought I’d be doing this, but here I am. I looked at my little FM on the 23rd of December, and thought to myself -- “hey, all I have is lighting, some objects, and the air brushes, and I haven’t touched DromEd in months. Hell, why don’t I release this thing on Christmas?”

Obviously that didn’t work out, but for a spur of the moment thing, it didn’t turn out too bad. My sleep suffered, but the FM didn’t. It's now available at thiefmissions.com. It’s 2.38 megabytes, roughly 20 minutes long, and my first FM, but hopefully you’ll have fun with it. This is the prologue to a larger mission, which I haven't started yet. If you guys are interested in it, let me know, and I'll get started on it.

    Happy taffing!

She's not a maniac, a raving thing, she just goes a little mad sometimes.

Nice one... I'm looking forward to playing the final version.
Is this the first FM of the year 2006?

Have you started working on your next mission already?

    Now go get some sleep.

    @shadows:
Look closely around where you find the deceased Lord

@all: using a German copy of Thief, the original starts after the loadout. I solved that issue by copying "missflag.str" from the "strings\english" folder into the "strings\german" one.

A very fun mission. Great job for a first release! I know the mission was supposed to be laid back but I got caught twice and ended up running around alerting every guard in the manor, until finally I used the
    spoiler:
burricks to eat them. Hooray for Burricks!

...Don't sleep! Sleep is from the weak (I forget who said that...). I would love to see the next mission you have planned!

I myself can still only play the T2 missions, I'm sorry to say

I know the feeling, Bikerdude ....!

Eww nice touch letting the burricks out to do the dirty work I munched my dinner while I played this, it was a perfect time fit. Now that I have all these weapons and a dead lord and missing daughters, I would guess there would be somewhere for me to go.........

Well, Gillie, I would!!! I'm an addict as well. Played all of the T2 FM's ...
What's your problem with the game then?
Perhaps one of us can help you!

I'm lost here or the key that Shadows was looking for.

I followed up the remark from Dirtyoldman, but I didn't come up with anything

Enchantermon: What's a "ham sandwich" as in : a person?
...eh...... can I relate this to my having a piglet living in my kitchen ?

Thanks for all the compliments! Glad you guys are having fun robbing my house. (I'm just glad I'm not at home. )

I've updated the FM, the German version should now work properly, and I fixed a few minor problems as well. It's still at the same URL as before.

    Why you little . . .

You were following me around and saw that poll, weren't you?

Don't expect it too soon. With the way my DromEding spurts go, it could be quite a while before it's fit to see the light of day . . .

Yup. There's nothing wrong with a little death and chaos.

Definitely. Although, this mission gave me way less trouble than I thought it would, and it was one hell of a bad idea.

Every time I went to get screenshots, I kept getting distracted by playing with my beloved burricks, especially after one whiff of their breath makes the guards faint.

I munched my dinner while I played this, it was a perfect time fit. Now that I have all these weapons and a dead lord and missing daughters, I would guess there would be somewhere for me to go.........
    Wait and see.

I think so. I voted the same way it turned out you did, actually.

Asked and answered. Don't worry about not getting it; it was an in-joke, and I wanted to see if TNT would notice it.

    Who, little ol' me? Never!
Actually, I just saw that thread as I was checking out this one, and I was curious as to what lightshafts were. Then I viewed the results of the poll.

You referring to me and the stalking? Or to me playing Thief 2? If the former, I really wasn't stalking her.....if the latter, thanks!
