    Mann Mansion

This is a new FM by Tithian.
Please be warned, it is his first.

Is tutorial is correct, it is very easy and very 'sucky'.

    Pros: It's easy. Not ugly.

Cons: Tresure hunting, no real challenge, It's easy.

Very simple, very short, but very sweet.
With the right encouragement, this author could go on to make nice missions.
    Please encourage this author.
    Nice one Tithian.

Well, I don't know whether this mission is sucky, but it's STUCKY!

    Pros: Tiny
Cons: Very cubical, texture alignment weak, loot hunt...

In conclusion: Go on with dromedding. Keep in mind you still have to study a lot!

    Of course! I'm also a beginner ;-)
But even the most advance dromedders need to study. The Dark Engine is very complicated.

Of course, we must encourage each other! I already encouraged him by saying Go on.

However, we must point out what are the weak parts of the missions. Otherwise, we won't know what to improve in future

Thanks Tithian. It was a neat, small mission. Please keep up the good work because it was a lot better than some of the 1st timers missions I have played.

Advice I would offer, is to shorten the time to open doors, etc., with lockpicks.

You will only get better with study and practice. I admire your effort.

    spoiler:
    ENCOURAGEMENT, TAFFERS!

Ok, I say somthing good. And I really mean this.
I'd think it a good idea, that when you become a well versed dromeder (cuz I'm certainly not) this would be a good mission to revisit, i.e, Make it an objective to get inside the manor, add some other buildings out side you can loot for extra $, a side story (scandal, dead bodies, that sort of thing) more rooms...
This could very well be the building block of somthing big.
Its your first steps, (and this mission wasn't even ugly!) so good luck.

This mission was certainly a nice short break from dromeding.

Very short indeed - 5 mins 15 secs. Didn't look too bad to me, especially for a first attempt. It also had a background ambient, which some missions have lacked. I can excuse the unaligned textures and the gap in the wall, near the start, heck, you have to start somewhere don't you?

You've began your journey, but do tread carefully, for Dromed is a bitch!

    Thanks!

Thanks guys! I never tought it would feel this great to release a FM

Please feel free to criticize my mission, because otherwise I won't know what I'm doing wrong.
I really had no idea how to do most of the things I built in this mission, so it was mostly trial-and-error, especially the windows and fireplaces.
Building this mission have given me a lot of ideas for future mission and I've always wanted to build a hotel

Some of you perhaps know that I had started using T3ED some time ago, well, that didn't really turn out so well so I thought I should try out DromEd instead. DromEd turned out to be so much easier to use and it doesn't lag like hell when it works.

Anyway, I hope you liked this short mission.
Didn't anyone have trouble finding the hidden pair of dice?? And I hope you tried to ghost it, I first thought about removing your black-jack too but decided not to.

I'll be back! (after I've done some hardcore DromEd studying)

[EDIT] OMG! The french have invaded my mansion!! http://ladyjo1.free.fr/thief/article...id_article=348

Well, we must be happy to see there are new people in Thief editing. As it's a strategy to see there are a lot of people retiring - Schwaa, sluggs, etc... but hey, there are new people inheriting them!

I think the word you were looking for was tragedy.

Well, I don't know why I used the word strategy. But yes, it's a tragedy.

I really hope that they will return to dromedding some day. The editor guild must stay strong. And I'm so happy to see new DromEdders. I predict that Thief won't die even after 20 years.

And yes, I also invaded the FM: Added it to my site - http://thief-theheaven.blogspot.com/ !
