I LOST SHADOWMERE!!!
i was in a cave or somethin .. and i got a message : shadowmere is now unconcious .. i said whatever.. he`s immortal anyway.
so i finished my quest in the cave, i got out and he was still unconcious. i didn`t wanna wait till he wakes up so i fast travelled to the town.
after that .. i never saw shadowmere again
wtf happened ??? can i bring him back some how??
ps: i`ve been to the cave where he was unconcious.. but he wasn`t there... he just dissapeared!

it`s been more than a week or two in the game... so ..
ps: i just found this forum .. that`s why i posted only now
me too, except shadowmere dissapeared after i mounted a unicorn, but i will check that other place.
Head back to Lechance's fort, and walk right up to the main doors to go in (it was a major pain because I figured Shadowmere would be waiting out in the open, on a trail or somehting) and Shadowmere will be standing there waiting for you (I didn't get the message the Shadowmere had returned until I went back to the fort so it may be a while before you see it.)

Its north of bravil, inbetween the road and where the nibbey valley is written on your map. There is a couple of minotaurs around it and it will attack you if you approach it with you weapon out and your are visible so you will need to sneak up or run up without your weapon drawn to ride it. One of the daedra quests is to kill it and return its horn.

Yeah. I might have got the wrong location, but it is around there.
To get shadowmere back just fast travel to fort the fort you got him from, i had this problem as i lost him for about a month. Fast traveling to the fort resets him.
your srewd if you mount the unicron it get's rid of your previous horse
Your not screwed because i mounted the unicorn and went back to the fort and shadowmere was there. Its at fort farragut
If all else fails, type:
in the console.player.moveto 00032BF5
This will teleport you to wherever Shadowmere is.
