Arrrgghhh !!! Once more FM !!! This years FMs stream is absolutly unplayable... no work, no sleep, no family, only Thief adventures...

Great, I have got cca 3 hours after finishing Burglary and now another one. Go on Aspirin, you can make it...

Thanks to all FM authors to keep us excited all the time (and exhausted too...).

There is absolutely nothing more frustrating than seeing a new fm come out while I'm stuck at work and will be for the next 9 hours.

Can't wait to get home and try it out.

    Thanks, BT!

It says this is the second mission. What was the first one called?

    spoiler:

You remember that mini-gala type room you enter when you first come into the temple through the side door?

Well the key is behind a locked set of window-pane doors there.

Now look around a bit. See how this section of the room is not completely sealed off? The walls do not totally touch the ceiling so maybe you can climb over the partition and bypass the door? But there is no way you can jump that high. Maybe a little "boost" can help?

BTW, does anyone get Random_Taffer and Bulgarian_Taffer mixed up?

maloo - There's a key for that door but it's difficult to find. Search the library very carefully for a tiny lever.

Hmmm well I guess my method was an alternate solution. Emergent gameplay at its best? Or perhaps the two options were planned by Bulgarian_Taffer?

BTW, the exact description of my solution to get the key is
    spoiler:

Use the crates found in the stairwell room to climb up high enough and mantle into the room with the chest & high priests key.

To get out again, stand on the desk and jump-mantle.

    This was unpredictable!

I checked the wooden wall that separates the chapel and the altar. And I made sure that you can't climb that high! But I never supposed that the
    spoiler:
    crates
    could be used!
There are some interesting things you can learn about your own fan mission!

secrets of avidan - top fm!

    bulgarian_taffer,
just completed your 'secrets of avidan' fm and i think it was top ( in manchester, uk, 'top' means 'excellent') .
i did the same as elkston and used the boxes to climb over the wall and into the office. i especially like the way that garrett has to ghost through the early part of the fm, until her finds a 'blackjack' ( i love escape missions were garrett has no equipment ).

    well, cheers b_g,
    nightstone

    Dear folks,

    thank you for the compliments

The Blackjack objective is optional. If you like, you can try ghosting. It's difficult, but not impossible

Sometimes. I think it was Sluggs who thought we were multiple personalities of the same person. This, however freakin' cool it would be, is not true.

Damn, this one's tough to ghost, just had to restart, thanks to saving in a awkward place. That library with the hammer partolling outside is a rough spot.

I thought it was quite well set up for ghosting. I did it during testing and it adds a lot of play value to the mission.

    Oh, it wasn't a complaint.

I love tough spots and it's obvious that some thought have been given on ghosting, i.e the balcony. Although there's a teensy bit too much marble for comfort though.

Played through it last night. Very nice, BG. The placement of AI was well thought out. (This is where I struggle in building)

    I applaud you.
