That's very kind of you, you could make also make a different model, a reskinable(replace0) cylinder with holes in the bottoms(a hollow cylinder) , then any one could apply textures like these:

I can make the cylinder and make a texture wrapping around and make it work in dromed, but I don't know how to make the 'replace0' thingy. I looked into it, but I didn't find a tutorial.

when you apply a texture in your model it must have a name, just rename it as "Replace0" in your 3d editor.

That's what the cylinder fence looks like. Only 24 polygons.

    https://ibb.co/ct5Ua8

I started modeling the fence with real geometry and it will have about 1000 polygons. I'm not sure if this will be a problem in dromed.
Maybe I will try a mix of actual geometry and transparent textures. That should be interesting.

There is kind of a problem with the replaceable cylinder. The texture must be seamless on the x axis. So, you have to make the texture seamless, if it isn't
already (like your fence texture above).

    Till later.

and obj for dromed can have up to 2000 polygons, wow nice job in that model

Works in my dromed. I made 3 different cylinders with 6, 12 and 24 sides.

Have fun. I will go back to the "high poly" version.

Thank you so much, if you want i can upload your object to Thiefobject Repository.

You can upload it wherever you want. I recently made a piano+stool, link is in the "Anyone wants an object" thread. You can upload it too, if you want.

alright, iŽll upload your piano, i can also upload the high-poly version of the circular fence once you have done it.

Stringgod2 iŽve tested the model in game mode and there's a problem with transparency , i even tried to set transparency to 1.00 in dromed but the problem remains.

IŽve edited one of the hanging brazier by the watcher to look like a tree fence:

If anyone thinks its worth hosting this to thief object repository let me know, but i think i would need permission from the Watcher.

Ah, I think I know what you mean. Took a closer look in dromed. The fence can only be seen from one side. The opposite site isn't rendered.
Is that what you mean ?

Maybe it is the png file. I look into it. If someone knows what the problem is, please tell us.

Edit: I changed the png to an pcx indexed file and the transparent parts to black and it work without the transparency set to 1, but the main problem stays the same.
Maybe if we cut the cylinder in half ....

Duplicate your polygons and invert normals. You may as well give them a tiny, unnoticeable offset along the normals, just so the polygons do not overlap each other.

That makes sense to me, but it doesn't work. Same as before.

Screenshots to illustrate the problem: https://ibb.co/kOyM8T

The same object in Blender and Dromed.

When you converted it, did you set the material to be double sided?

    It worked.

The problem was, that I scaled the 2nd mesh a little like suggested. Now I just just doubled the polys and flipped the direction and it seems to work.

Edit: Oke, that wasn't the problem. Testet it again, doubled, scaled down a little and flipped. Works too.

    Pinkdot was 100% right.

Thx. I will upload the new files later.

Looks like this in my dromed. I ran around them for a while looking for glitches. Seems to work.

Stringgod2, iŽve fixed both 3 model physics dimensions with Blender and host them to ThiefobjectRepository:

    http://spirited-tech.com/thief/

If you want i can host your object just send them, and if need iŽll fix their physic dimensions. (so that their size matches their physical contact)

Oh, you can do that, but cannot build a cylinder ?! That's strange.

I only know how to do some editions with blender, it was RSoul who taught me to do all the things i know, reduce faces, align the object position to match the physic dimensions, and a few other things. But iŽll see if i can start making my own objects.
