Pictures of Brugge - a medieval town in Belgium

Ok, I posted these on the temp forums at AwesomeExpress, but I suppose I can repost the link here, now that the regular service has been resumed, thanks to the hard work by David, Saam and everyone else who have been pushing extra hours to get things going again.

So, back in June, me and my wife made a trip to Belgium, and visited the town of Brugge, which is beautiful place and still has most of its medieval architecture intact. I promised to post pics of the place, to serve as inspiration for current and future FM builders, and here they are.

The pics aren't great for two reasons; I'm not that great a photographer, and they were taken with a simple pocket digicam with automatic settings. In most pics the sky's been burned through or the dynamic range is otherwise shot to hell, but they will give you some idea of the place, and perhaps give you an idea or two.

A couple of the shots definitely reminded me of Calendra's Legacy.

I decided to post this here and not in the Editors' Guild, because I figured that many aspiring builders would be lurking here. Admins feel free to move this, should you think this should be in the Editors' Guild.

Mol, these picture's are great and I'm ashamed right now ... I live probably 2 hours away from Brugge ..... and never visited!!! Although I always wanted to.

I've planned a weekend in Brugge for a long time now, but I never got to it

    Shame on me!!!

There's a few more of Brugge here, as well as lots of other major cities in Europe. I'd recommend checking it out for inspiration, or even some good desktop backgrounds.

beautifull place to visit, its very famous for its rivers and old houses
its also capital of west-vlaanderen (west-vlaanderen is a provence) so enough shops to visit (its not like paris but it has a big shopping street)

we don't really call it a medieval town in belgium (that more gent with its 'castle')

some call 'brugge' belgium's venice because of the rivers

i've only been there once even when its only 1 hour away

I've been to Brugge many times.
If you count going there in World War 2 Online as going there. It's nice to see pictures of a place I've only been to in a game. Thanks for posting.
