So many new authors, I just hope we are all going to be able to finish these! DromEd can be a frustrating beast.

Here are some more of mine:

Amazing pics! So many new authors. I'm also gonna be a new author too since i'll start my first mission soon and i'm going for a classic break-in, steal, get out. I also i don't think i'll use custom objects(that remains to be seen) I've been playing with dromed last year and even made a small test mission so i think it's time i started to do something right

A fullbright shot of the cityscape (unoptimized). You can break into most of these houses and there is a whole underground layer obviously not shown.
I keep adding new areas but I'm pretty sure geometry will be finished in the next few days. Not much else to make really, except a power station, a sewer junction and two small manor interiors. If all goes well the mission could enter beta before the end of the month.

Caradavin pretty fine. Just make sure that textures are having approriate size and fits well... The rugs are very weird, oversized.
skacky looks like The real City!

    @Dale_

Good idea with mansion on some kind of "island". It would be in my climate, if the property would be haunted

Good luck to all new authors !

I always absolutly love playing Skacky missions, and maaaaannn I wish we could do long views like that in TDM... (ps. why arent you using all of our lovely hi-res tdm textures..? the blue roof to the left is horribly low res.)

I know. I was talking about that very issue in another post of mine. Some of my textures are very large and I have to scale them down in order for them to look right. You are seeing them unscaled (at the normal size of 16), and we decided the issue came from using enhancement pack. So, now I have to replace the textures.

I can't wait to play that one! Dumb question - why isn't there any rain?

I only enlarged the first shot and the rain is not very noticeable in it. My bad.

Great stuff as always Shacky. I love rain in missions. Brings a drabness and atmosphere.
Question though, fog, it seems to vary in people's screenshots. Is it strictly rendered by the gpu? In my setup it clips, and creates moving clear squares around the edges where it meets terrain brushes. Is there a new method for fog? Like in the way you don't need eax card when you can use openal.

New and last sneak peak screeny for my upcoming FM "A Thieves Pawn Pt 1: A Fence In Need" (Of course I'll only call it A Fence In Need It'll say A Thieves Pawn in the readme lol)

    It's a real beauty, ain't it?

This is one of the main buildings in the city area that I've been building but I'm definitely not telling you what one it is...

I'm almost done with the terrain brush work in the mission and it will be a medium sized, classic Thief 1 style FM with a few elements from Thief 2!

I can't wait to release this start to a new series and it should be ready for Beta Testing very soon, probably within the next month

Yeah; nice, almost 'harmonic' building style. Pleasing.

Nice design. But look at this shot:

Absurd. I'll believe it only if your stones and bricks made of paper.

Put a column on that corner to break up the transition between textures.

Or a half-brick thickness face on the edge of the brick wall.
