This was a fantastic idea! Too bad I haven't played enough FMs, so I suck. I have played this one though...but I peeked, so it doesn't count.
Keep it up guys!![]()
That's been done before and the problem with it is that there is just that short run and then the thread quickly dies because no one is sure how to keep it going. Or you might have to wait for weeks to resolve something, and that kills the thread even faster.
The advantage of this is that it's a rolling game that makes it easy to keep the game going, which usually keeps a thread running a long time. Anyone can revive it at any time. In the end you'll get a lot more screenshots to play with.
Also, it allows people to play along even long after the answer has been found, years from now ... you can still scroll through the thread, try to guess, then read the spoiler to see if you were right.
Edit: damn page 2, here's the latest:

So close, Sly...Circle of Strain 2!
I just happened to play this one recently, so try this blast from the past:
Cop in the Shadow by T. Nagy Levente (2003)
I'm surprised; I thought this thread would be more popular. Perhaps the release of new FMs overshadows the nostalgic remembrance of old gems.
Bumping to try and get it going again.
This thread appeals to me, even having come into the community a bit later. If for no other reason than to point out good FMs I might otherwise miss.
I'll play if I see one I know.
I think cat's must have been a little too obscure, no one has gotten it yet. Can we declare a rule something like if no one guesses for a week then a new shot can be posted?
Fine with me.
I've been trying to figure out the pic above. Nada clue though it does look familiar.
I've never heard about that mission pavlovscat (I checked the spoiler), gotta try it out.
I'll just follow Sly's and Yandros' hint and post new screen:
Asulym's Heist Society
Heist Society? That one was easy. It has really distinctive architecture for some reason.![]()
That is correct all. That mission also has the biggest amount of brushes ever seen in FM, way over the ~7000 limit.
Isn't it the train station from T2X ?
No, T2X's station didn't look that good IMHO.
Just saw the spoiler.
Was this mission ever released as abandonned or something ? How can we know about it if we never played it ?
That's why I said I was bending the rules a bit, but in this case the screenshots were seen by a lot of people here.
7th Crystal part 2 by Saturnine
How did you accomplish thisYeah, we had to finish that mission without ever portalizing.?
We only added objects and other things that didn't require portalizing. It required being creative in a few places.
Wille, your turn!
A rather old mission this time:
kfgecko's Embracing the Enemy
spoiler:Turning The Tables
Aaragh...TTT has a similar door....but it's for T1...look at the sky Sly you dolt!
Damn, that looks so familiar! I know I should know it.
For some reason I was tempted to say Bloodstone Prison, even though I could already tell that wasn't it ... But looking at the answer to check myself anyway, I realize why I might have thought that. The first clear thing that came to me was the author, kfgecko, and my memory was playing tricks on me from there.
Lol, famous last words. Of all the people that should know this FM it's you! (I bet that's going to give it away right there and deserves a spoiler for that alone)Originally Posted by Yandros
