GOG.com is wonderful. I fully support it.

I feel like GOG has pretty much had a continuous sale going for the past month or more. It's changed names and formats twice, but there can't have been more than a few days between each iteration, and I can't imagine the discounts being much different in any of them, otherwise users would get annoyed with them. These things always take a bit of effort to keep tabs on, so I actually wish they were having fewer sales... (which is a slightly weird realisation).

IF they're trying to nab market share from Steam, it makes good sense.

Hmm I wonder if they're reaching the breaking point of having enough games where now every day something ends up being on sale? Steam reached that loooong time ago.

GOG has had something on sale every day for quite a while now. Granted that has usually been a couple of somehow connected games on sale Monday-Friday and another theme for Friday-Monday.

Since Galaxy now has a working friends list, we should all list our names on it.

Mine's kinda obvious. Do a search for me, and add me up!

The usual here, Mungrul. And I've just fired off invites to you two reprobates.

    And you're added, Malf.

    By the way, who's MSCHWAB?

I rarely use galaxy, but added people nonetheless. Name's Malleus.

Ah, that makes sense. He was the first to add me, but didn't say anything otherwise.

I wasn't sure who it was, but I'm so needy, it didn't matter. I'll take any friend requests I can get.

A few nice new releases today. The most interesting for me being Tron 2.0 (AFAIK, already available on Steam previously, but nice to have a gog version too).

TRON 2.0 is superb, and definitely worth getting. I'm very happy to see that on GOG!

I like Armed & Dangerous, but comparing it to Giants will inevitably lead to disappointment, I think. I did enjoy playing it, though (twice, even!). If you get it, be sure to use the crazy weapons as often as possible, rather than keeping them until they're 'needed'. They are what makes the combat actually fun -- and that's most of the gameplay in this game.

    SWAT 4 + expansion.

    Such a good game!

It's probably pure nostalgia talking, but there's something about Sierra's EGA art style that just exudes pure atmosphere.

I love the look of Colonel's Bequest and Quest For Glory 2.

Thank you. I feel a little guilty, as I don't contribute to this board, but since you shared it here and nobody claimed it for 30+ hours, maybe I shouldn't. Anyway, just wanted to say thanks.

    All good :) Enjoy!

There's a Halloween sale on, but there's also close to 30 games available via GOG Connect at present, which may be worth checking out.

Since they introduced Connect, I now find myself occasionally redeeming Steam keys from Humble Bundle purchases, purely so that I can then access the game through GOG. (I kinda wish they also had Humble Bundle Connect.)

I like that idea. If all of them did it, then you could buy from any of them and always play the games on your preferred platform.
