So the torches need to only be put out and not relight them? What is the purpose of the 2 candles?
Also a note that the version 1.1 still crashes for me but not that frequent as the previous one.

Can someone tell me where the cobweb room is?

edit: Ok found it, finished mission. Thanks Willie i am waiting part 3. Your work shows alot of experience considering it is in the first steps. It is obvious that you never leave something random. Everything is well polished. You are a true builder

Yes you only need to put them out, just like the professor's letter said .

Cobweb room can be found near retrooms, look for door behind a red curtain.

Where does the mission crash for you, any specific location?

It seems that it crashes when the "heavy helment" guard is patroling close in the 2 stairs leading to the 2nd floor.

Can you say more exact location or better yet give a screenshot? Or do you mean the anchor like staircase in west wing? Is the guard patrolling only the west wing?

Also did you restart before the patch or not? This probably solves the problem as I changed one AI so your earlier save from 1.0 still has the old unchanged AI.

Sorry to hear that there are still problems with the second version.
The first version also crashed on me (XP) around the staircase with patrolling guard. I downloaded second version and played from the beginning to end with no crashes, so all worked for me.

    shrine entry

I've managed to reach the shrine entry, but the switch doesn't work. (although I've found the Hammer relics book, the 'find more info on gems' objective has not ticked off - is there something else I have to do before I can get into the shrine, or is this the end of the mission?

the shrine entry I mean is at the bottom of the lift, btw.

    Vault location-I forgot!

I was in the vault once but now I can't seem to find it again!
Need a push as to where it is please. Thanks.

    Dowsing Torches

I've got the Holy Water, and know where the 4 torches are, but the holy water doesn't put out the torches. They automatically relight.

Never mind. I wasn't dowsing them in the correct order

I think the mission is suppose to end there. Have you finished your other objectives?

There are several ways to get to the vault. Don't know where you are so I'm assuming you are somewhere in the museum itself. One way is to find the elevator on the floor you're on and take it down to the basement ... at the bottom you would turn slightly left coming out of the elevator then immediately turn right into the next room, continue through and then turn right again at the intersection and follow it to the end.

The lever at the bottom of the long lift isn't supposed to work. The mission will end when everything else has been completed. Have you 1) taken the Mystic Heart, 2) found the necessary loot, and 3) found the information on the gems? If not, then that's the reason you are puzzled.

Just go back up and taff some more.

First-class mission, Wille - as much as I enjoyed Unlucky Soul, I can see now you were just getting warmed up

Really Thiefy, with great architecture (assumed the main part is a real museum?). layout that provided terrific gameplay, puzzles that were challenging but readily solvable with the excellent readables, & really good sound. (And everything else...)
    Those domes were amazing!

Thoroughly enjoyed this & really looking forward to part 3!

This was a stunning stunning mission, an absolute joy to stroll the halls through. I found myself just looking at things, looking at the combination of stone and woodwork. That old world feel to it. It was near perfection, colors, textures, so well done. Touches of elegance. This mission was beautifully crafted. Damn fine Willie. Damn fine man.

I liked the music too. I will remember this museum! Can I work there?

We'll all await the next installment!

I'm missing one secret and about 200 loot (200 to finish, I mean); I think this secret hasn't any loot, so these are two separate problems...

The secret I'm missing is the secret passage connecting the sewers and what is described as a "lunch hall." I can't find the sewer end, so I'm hoping to find the other terminus... can anybody tell me where the "lunch hall" is?

Second, can somebody suggest a cache of loot I might have missed? I got the skull in the case, the other two (pickable) cases, the vault, the other secrets, and all the stuff obviously out in the open that I saw. I could easily have missed stuff... but 600 worth is a lot of missing! Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Dafydd

Dafydd: the sewer secret - the gate you had to open (via a lockbox) to get from the sewers to the basement area; imm to the right of that is another openable gate. Follow that path until you find a frobbable steam valve. However, the path opened lead me back to the main library (no idea what Klatremus means by "lunch-hall")
    Hope that made sense.

Loot - sorry, can't remember any large caches (apart from the vault). Klatremus has a loot list linked here.

    Some easily missed loot:

-Tiara on statue next to the sapphire vase in west wing
-Coins in dry fountain in western front yard
-Candlesticks and vase behind basement crates
    -Silver sextant in pirate display

Klatremus must mean the library with "lunch-hall".

Fantastic mission, Wille. Great mix of excellent architecture, good puzzles, and challenging AI. Even up and above all those, great plot and backstory. This kind of thing really elevates an FM's experience for me. Very impressive.

Can't wait to explore and infiltrate the underground shrine in Part 3.

Yeah, I wrote much of the list in the first beta, before I knew what the different rooms were. I simply called it the lunch hall because I saw tables and a goblet in there, then forgot to change it later. Sorry about the confusion. Naturally it is a library, but then again there are so many libraries in this mission.

Is it necessary to have played the first Mystic Gems before playing this?
It looks really cool and I want to play but not if it is going to mess up the story.
