You'll learn the purpose of the holy water later...

When you get the captain's key, go back to the basement and open the chests you were unable to pick earlier.

Visage of Moon Mask - in the basement level, there are a number of movable crates beneath a shelving unit. Move them and find a small switch along the wall. Frob it. It opens up a small niche above the shelving unit containing the mask.

I still haven't found the other one. 30 minutes of mindless frobbing has turned up nothing. There really should be a hint or two in the readables.

Ah, but there IS a hint. Have you read the book in the Hammer mage's bedroom??

You should be a detective, Nightwalker. I'm such a taffer
This is a very nice mission. I'm not a fan of the BJ limit, but it really keeps the mission challenging. I may be having a change of heart.

Somehow I missed that book highlighting - I think I was too confused about the holy water.

    Thanks Nightwalker,

The clue is not terribly specific but it does tell you what room to be searching in. What is the nature of the mask that you are searching for? Is there anything in the book that sounds as if it might be related to a property of one of the masks?

Another very well done one, and clever (...searching for a key and finding 6 bottles).

Interestingly, I just happened to see the secret door for the Moon visage right off, and found it before I even knew I was supposed to be looking for it.

It was also fun to ghost, which I probably wouldn't have done without the no KO objectives.

Very nice mission. Ran into a problem. FYI:after lifting the captain's key and entering the door behind him I turned right into a room with 3 statues. I got 'stuck' when I touched the center one and had to reload.

    Having fun.........Thank you.

I still can't find the sun mask, even with the clues. Could someone be more specific, please. Thank you

Hint: The note from Desmond says that the mask gives off a lot of heat. Who has been complaining about heat?

Bigger Hint: It's somewhere in the hammer priest's room

Outright giveaway: There's a secret switch near the door.
I frob on the first date!

    Sun Mask

Like Random_Taffer said, it's along the door frame by the plant. It won't highlight until you are very close - the author changed the frob distance from the default of 7 to 3, so you have to get really close. I had a lot of trouble finding it because everytime I frobbed in that area, I was opening the door instead.

This one is my favourite so far. The only thing I didn't like is the bright red modern lantern, completely out of place IMO.
Well, I also didn't like the "pet name" Dezzy for the mad lord ,it spoils the gloomy atmosphere.

Just FYI, this mission has been updated to fix the blue rooms accidentally being outside the boundaries. But nothing has changed within the mission, so you don't need to redownload it or anything.

very nice mission...shame about the Ding Dong Bells music in the library(Or was that a Bug...lol),and the endless frobbing in the mages room....duh!....I spent ages going round every inch....even frobbing around the door...opening and closing...all the roof beams..as I knew the mask was in there, and I could see the panel in the corner.. but had to give up and come here for the exact location...Bah!

    That ruined it for me.

The codex should be floating in a cloud of magical particles above the precursor's heads. (Sort of like the key was earlier)

I experienced exactly the same problem in an otherwise superb mission.

Nice mission, great design, really classic experience - but mostly for FMs not original games (short story, small area but big world to save). I also had problems to find and frob switch in room with hammerite to get sun mask. Would say it is hard but possible to find if thoroughly searched.
I'm missing about 250 in loot

[Minutes later]: ha, got 2222 in loots (i.e. still missing 178)

[Seconds later]: hooray, found enough (forgot hammerite note about folly - masks in main hall).
