    Preview: Tales from the Cleft

Well, since Part 1 (Vandal) will be ready for Beta this month, I thought I'd release at least part of it, to build up a little interest. I hope it meets with your approval.

The prelude to Tales from the Cleft: Vandal, on YouTube. A story of love, greed, treachery, and all that other good stuff. And loot, don't want to forget loot.

At first I thought this was a tale about cleft palates.

Don't think I could ever get tired of sinister Hammerite missions - just love that atmosphere. Looking forward to this!
And, yeah, the music's really good.

Beethoven's 7th, slow movement, one of my favorites. Used famously at the end of the obscure (and quite bizzare) Sean Connery film Zardoz.

    Love the video too!

OMG!!! I knew the music was familiar. I have Zardoz on VCR! Great stuff.

it's late, I started drifting off... and CRASH!

looks like it will be a great mission; I love the dual references to the Hammerite prison and the old horror show! will there a Cleft Keeper?

Yes, Zardoz was the inspiration for the musical score.

Hmmm, a Cleft Keeper isn't in the works for the first two missions, but there are lots more crimes in the Cragscleft books...

The Hammerite focus is in part 2, Ladytaker, but I suspect it will be worth the wait. The Tomb of the Unknown Hammer plays a central part.

Part 1, Vandal, is a mansion mission, the two are independent, but connected.

I guarentee there are things you have never seen before.

Some screenies from Vandal, if you haven't seen them before:

Nope. I saw them just fine, and they are very original. And I must say that I am looking forward even more to seeing the whole mission.

    It's Beta Time...

No, this isn't a shameless attempt to get back on page 1. Just a short announcement that Tales from the Cleft: Vandal has left alpha-test (with all the household silver, I might add) and is ready for it's close-up, Mr. DeMille.

We'll be appearing at a beta test site near you real soon now.
