    Carkess Rache

Anyone else playing this German language mission? I'm finding it quite enjoyable, once I figured out how to get out of the starting area. I guess I'm a sucker for a city-type mission, even when I can only understand a bit of the readables.

I'm honestly kind of surprised there's not a thread about it already.

Edit: I guess a link might be nice. http://thiefmissions.com/info.cgi?m=CarkessRevenge

Edit2: Well, I'm stuck. I took a one-way trip into a sewer and now I'm stuck in a basement with no key to open the unpickable door that seems to be the only exit.

Edit3: Now with English translation; the URL is unchanged.

I don't think I even knew it existed, but I'm going to give it a shot!

Edit: The city layout is sorta confusing but the gameplay is alot of fun and there is alot to see and do. Hopefully someday we get an english translation at least of the objectives

Fantastic news my friend! I'll wait to really dive into the mission until its been translated so that most of the mission is still new when I can understand it

Well, I saw one rat down there but it's just eating cheese (which I promptly took).

I don't think the designer put the key elsewhere in the town, so I'm sure that I've just overlooked it. Still, there's little more humiliating than searching four rooms for half an hour, so I went on to something else.

Awesome! I look forward to playing the translated version.

Also makes me wonder what other missions I'm missing out on that have never been translated from other languages

I remember him sending me a PM letting me know he'd be attempting to translate it in case I wanted to re-review it for the Megathread once I could understand it - I'll have to give it another shot! Is that the english version?

    Thanks clearing!

Ah Podroz etc., the fm of variable undead if you remember, SneakyJack.

Well 30 people have downloaded this one in the last day and I am the only one who can't find my way inside. I have a key which unlocks the inner wooden door but darned if I can find how to open the gate.

According to the scroll on the guards desk, the statue should be pointing (or showing) to a switch that opens the portcullis, but I couldn't find it too.

Thank you cattamer, I needed that portcullis word as well. You're right though - it might help if I could fly perhaps. Let you know if I find it.

Double posting for importance!! Got it. Go as far to the west of the walls as you can and it's on the rock in a small gap between the wall and the rock.

    Hope that makes sense.

Thanks. Found it. But I couldn't get to see how the statue pointed to it.

I finished the translation and handed the texts to someone for proof-reading.

Great stuff, thank you Clearing! I'll give that one a spin too even if I can't understand any of it. If you come up with any more that were never released in English please share them!

Edit: I can kinda see why a few of the ones mentioned in this thread weren't translated

This is the initial objectives on expert, as far as my limited german goes
(while waiting fo a complete translation)

    - To prepare and make possible the escape of your friend Carkass and yourself, you'll need 4.500 loot, that should be enough.
    - There is a mystic old skeleton.
    - This skeleton is divide in 6 parts.
    - One of those parts.
    - Is since a long time in the possesion of your friend Carkass.
    - Find for Carkass the other 5 parts.
    - Revenge is for you not a must but in this case unavoidable.
    - You lost your sword while escaping, find a new one.
    - After finishing the above objectives, return to the point where you started.
