In light of recent news, I have decided to change my username.
This is so awesome. Thief is the only series that I have ever truly loved. It ruined me for all other PC games. I have always looked for something to fill the Thief void but no other game ever did it for me...

Really hard to not sound conceited, here, but I'm not. I'm grateful for the positive responses that make me feel like I've gotten a promotion by my fellow taffers. Weird, but cool!

Hey, all jokes aside, I just wanted to say thanks to EM for taking on Thief4 and recognizing our community - many other studios would have just ignored us. We'll offers suggestions, opinions, and (constructive) criticism until the end of time to assist you guys in releasing a great game. Thanks again, looking forward to seeing how the game evolves over the next couple of years...!

Yes. I'm not sure if VIKTORIA's thread title questions are what Eid-Mon is wanting to know at this time, but we could use those to focus our input.
And thirded. I stopped looking in 2003. Apart from the occasional adventure game, I haven't played anything else since I found Thief.
maybe they are testing the wrath of the Thief community...
or more likely just having a nice laugh at our expense...
either possibility amuses me
and if they did that as a joke, it gives me hope for a good sense of humor in Thief as well... which is definitely a part of the game i would like to see continued

Before Thief (1995-2001 B.T.) it was Diablo and Solitaire. After Thief (2001-2009 A.T.) it was only Thief.

Not unexpected, of course, and not a complete disappointment; however it would have been nice to have some more information on the new game. Maybe some artwork?

I can't confirm anything right now or the dev team will kill me! But the team has studied the previous three games and evaluated how they differed and for what reasons, as well as reading fan feedback. That's all I can say for now!
