    The lords every whim...
    He likes omelettes
    They are yellow
    The Sun is yellow
The sun is solid with effects surrounding it.
    The builder
    Spiritual
    Non Corporeal
    Warming up the stable boy

Does the basketball exist in a literal/physical sense on this level?

You're gonna hate me for this but: Yes, and no.

(I like how your search ends up in 'warming up the stable boy' )

That damned basketball doesn't let me sleep. I post some ideas and thoughs and questions:

    - hint 3, 5, 8: "beyond borders" in general - ok, is basketball real basketball or not ? so can I find somewhere (wherever it is) real orange basket-ball ??? Or it is some "virtual" basketball like bitmap in fan mission folder/document, or virtual basketball like moving asteroid or something named in some document as basketball ? I know - stupid idea but with hint 3 is everything possible. So, in other words: where are the borders ???

    - hint 7: Who is the builder ? Is he the builder of these asteroids ? Space ? God ? Or is he the fan mission author ?

    - hint 8: "where it doesn't belong" ??? Does "nose" mean Garrett nose ? Does it mean I should do something unnormal ? In that case I would try to put Garrett nose into ghosts ass for example (btw. no result for ghost in sun control room... ) Or I can treate the omelette recipe as a coded guide to do something what resulted in basketball appearing. But it seems too complicated.
Or does it mean to reach some unusuall place in mission like small moving asteroids ? But it would be in contrary to hint 1.

I think the solution is simple and probably logical. But if you know the solution the principle seems logical, but all of the ideas above look logical for me now too. So with so many hints and with so many variations and possibilities of hints meaning its not hard, its very very hard to solve it imho. I wonder how many people will be able to solve it. Its a question of luck - to have the right idea.

Has anybody of betatesters solved it ever ???

I give up the second time after next 3 hours of solving puzzle. Maybe somebody will be more lucky then me.

    Good night...

Qolelis told me where it was, but first I had to find something else - I did that by myself. I don't know about the other testers though.

I'm amazed to hear how much time you people spend on finding it. If I were I would focus a bit more on the clearing hint. (And hint 8.)

bob_doe_nz: what if the basketball is the sun ? We maybe only need to "turn it off" and we'll see huge basketball. In that case the basketball does and doesnt exist - it looks like basketball but it is not basketball in fact.

clearing hint: I don't know clearing at all. What does he usually do when playing missions ? Something special ?

We all love Thief, don't we ?

Aspirin - Wrong trail. In fact, the basketball doesn't have anything to do with the Sun.

And still no has looked beyond the beyond...

Burn the mushies and sniff the gasses to get high?

That sounds like how the hammerite order and the builder may have started.
Beyond the beyond... (in a spiritual sense at least)

So which of the four scrolls in the hidden chamber is related to the clue?
    Lords half finished scroll?
    Recipes scroll?
    Servant Ranting?
    Mushroom Scroll?

I found it too but not without a nudge in the right direction. But this doesn't really mean anything. You have to realize that most of the betatesters have spent an enormous number of hours in this mission over several months. It is always easier when you know a mission inside and out.

I'd like to help more but it's up to qolelis I think. I don't know if I could give you a hint that would be better than what you already have without giving it away.

Keep it secret for some time please...

Burn the mushies and sniff the gasses to get high?
    Great idea !!!

And still nobody has looked beyond the beyond...
Ehmm... It seems I'll really need these burned mushies...
And qolelis lynch is more close to !!!

Should I be nosy in the temple with the void?

And on a non basketball related curiosity...

I tossed the fake torc into a dark void. What does Garrett mean about shutting him up.

Okay I was kidding! I haven't found the basket ball. I'm sorry I couldn't resist.
    Any updates on the walkthru?

I'm wondering if the voids have anything to do with it. I noticed that when you enter it, for half a second you can throw stuff around and such before you are taken back to the starting area.
That would be beyond the beyond.

But what does "nosy and well travelled mean in the scroll"

I wouldn't mind if qolelis said if we were getting closer or not to finding the ball based on what has been posted.

    I'm gonna bitchslap you Stingm

I think not only qolelis will be lynched (for his outstanding challenge tasks) but you too.

    You are very close now...

"I had just gotten out when I was contacted by a shady figure:
I have another mission for you, Garrett. You will have to go back again, but in a parallel universe."
    "What the...!"

Clearing is known for finding things in unusual/unexpected places.

I did manage to ride the asteroid all the way around. The starting asteroid in some respects looks like a basketball from a distance (From near the floating asteroids)

Why didn't I think of that!? That would have been quite a sight.
I didn't want to include any anachronisms in this mission...

Oh, he's just wording his anger towards fake loot. Actually that was the best comment I could find without some serious editing.

And congratulations, you've found one of the Easter eggs.

Otherwise, I would have required a screenshot (or similar) as proof.

Cool thing riding the asteroid, but that's not it.

By the way, interesting new tags.
