TDM FM: The Sons of Baltona 1 by Carnage(46) (2010/01/09)

Well here's the first FM I created, ever. There were a few setbacks but all in all it was a joy to work with Dark Radiant. If anyone is still doubting, please don't, it's quite easy when you get used to it.

About: A mansion mission. This is the first part of my campaign. Find out what happened to a fellow member of the guild and learn more about Lord Nelson, the owner of the mansion.

Build time: I don't know exactly. I played around a lot to figure everything out. Best guess is about a month effectively, before beta testing.

Thanks: Thanks to the TDM team for this awesome mod. Special thanks to everyone who assisted me on the forums.

Super special Thanks: My beta-testers 7upMan and lostbuthappy.

Known issues: Lamps look lit when switched off. Ambient music of two zones start playing at the same time after quickloading. Tried a work around so it's very likely you won't notice/have it.

Challenge: Play without switching off lights, otherwise it might be a bit easy.

    Here's the link:

I hope you all enjoy it and please vote on The Dark Mod Forums

There is a grid in a garden on one side of the house that you can open

same here. at first I thought there is a bug, but there is a switch that will trigger it more hint it's in the same garden more hintcheck flowers

nice mission btw It'll be better if there were less guard at the outside of the manor. It made me think that there is a army live in it. if I'm not mistaken, after finding the fellow in prison, new object addition is an innovation
Except some of texturing mistakes, there is a elegant interior design in mansion. thanks for this 40 minute play duration carnage and I will check your nexts surely

Nice to see the frequency at which TDM missions are released increasing.

Hm, I am missing something: found a way into the Lord's study, with a book and a chest. But from here, I can't figure out where to go. I assume there must be more here than meets the eye, but I didn't find any secrets.

Aha! That threw me. These sorts of secrets are rather harder to find in TDM than when you are looking for an object on a texture face.

Glad you liked it. I'm still learning as I go. I think 'Patently Dangerous' had a new objective addition as well, but still I would be second .

Any tips and hints are really appreciated everyone. I don't really have a good feeling for visuals yet and hope to increase that as I go. Are there any websites and/or books about it? Thanks for giving the tip shadow_ibix!

Just to let you know theres a dedicated site for FM beta testing (see sig). I'm sure the number of testers for TDM missions will increase over time.

I've looked everywhere, and I still cannot find my way in.

Can someone tell me which flowers hide the switch?

You used a piratebay tracker, but afaik TPB closed all of their trackers two months ago. I am not sure if open.tracker.thepiratebay was also affected, but since tpb has been offline for 12 hours or so your torrent doesn't work.
Do you have DHT/LPD/PEX enabled ?
