    Haunt Stadium: Thief 2 Edition

    First off, thanks to Nameless Voice for creating this mission for Thief The Dark Project. I am now releasing a ported version, with an updated spawning system (thanks to NVScript.osm) for Thief 2. I hope you enjoy it.

    If you use all the arrows to create a large dark space and the moss arrow to set up a killing zone you can pretty much kill until you get tired of playing. I got 30 without any damage to Garrett.

    I'm going back in and just using the sword. More sporting that way!

    Are there any hidden objectives? I would be great if the objectives have bonuses like "You killed 50 haunts, GJ" or something, you know, as a bonus =D.

    Thanks for the kind words darth! I also want to take the time to thank Sliptip for assisting me with fixing an issue I had with NV's spawning system.

    @Lawviz: Hey, that's an interesting idea you've got there! Never thought of that.

    To answer the question, no there are not. This is, to be blunt, a port. Nothing really new about it. Other than the way the haunts spawn, but that is a technical thing.

    What I find fascinating is how taffers are playing this! darth told me over email how he played it, and it really opens the possibilities. Heh, the way I've played has been to run around and stab stab stab. But, as has been pointed out, a certain degree of stealth is possible thanks to the gas arrows.

    Haha, i was expecting some bonus...aiming for 100 haunts, but I die just short of that...was hoping Id get some prezzy at the 100 mark...a bow upgrade perhaps ..or a ninja sword...or christina's sword...that's also cool XD. Anyone up for mortal combat? final boss is the trickster

    This mission crashes to desktop when I try to move or even try to turn around?

    I've just played 3 other new missions. All OK!
    And I have tried the OM - also working fine!

    It crashes when I try to turn - not moving, as I wrote in my first post - sorry.

    Could there be any files I've missing?

    I've just reinstalled my PC. And simply just copyed Thief2 from my backup - not installed it.
    And I've played over 10 FM without any problems.
    But if a file should be in some Windows folder, then....?

    Configuration:
    CPU: Pentium Dual Core E5400 2.7GHz
    Grafic card: ATI Radeon HD4800 1024MB
    RAM: 4GB DDR2
    Motherboard: AsRock

    Hmm, that's weird. Only possible problem I could think of is that you dont have a miss16.osm. Is there a miss16.osm in your thief 2 folder? That reminds me, I should add that to the first post!

    Yes, the osm is a good idea, and also karstenpontoppi, download a fresh copy of Haunt Stadium zip. There is a possibility of corrupted files, since all of the other fm zips seem to work for you.

    There's both miss16.osm and nvscript.osm!
    I even tried to reinstall NVscript, tnhscript and UsrScriptT2_1x2BugFix!
    Overwritten convict.osm and gen.osm with fresh ones!
    And I've downloaded the mission ones more!
    Same problem!

    Just a quick note. Are you using Darkloader v4.3 ? I have had similar problems using Garrettloader which wont load and sort some fms, while Darkloader v4.3, I have found to be more reliable.

    Both of these interfaces will save files in your Thief directory, disallowing dark.cfg, and other files pertinent to the base directory from being overwritten. However, some files are overwritten without being saved first depending on exact name and extention. I once had a bug similar to this, and reinstalled both Thief, and Darkloader v4.3 to correct it. Uninstalling Thief will leave the Thief Directory folder. This should be deleted along with all of the saves folder so nothing remains. Then a fresh install is possible.

    Just my 2 cents worth, for what it is worth good luck!
