    DarkLoader problem

Hi guys I am trying to "optimize" my Thief Gold instalation but everytime I click OK to optimize, it comes back with this error

    "Exception EWin32Error dans le module DarkLoader.exe á 0000ABD7.
Une fonction API Win32 a échoué."

    And then closes.
I am left with a RES folder in my Thief DIR which is about 200mb or so but im not sure if it worked or not. When I try to run Thief I just get "program needs to close" error.

    I am running Windows 7 64bit.

Any help would be very appreciated!

    Thanks

Check if all your CRF-files in the RES-Folder and all your fan mission archives are okay (via the "check integrity" function of a program like 7Zip, WinZip or WinRar) and if that does not help, try to rename the file darkloader.ini to say darkloader.bak and retry.

Well I reinstalled Thief Gold 3 times and tried to use DarkLoader and still got the same error. Sometimes it manages to move most of the files into the res folder and sometimes it only moves one file before displaying the error msg.
I did delete the darkloader.ini a few times but still gives that error
So maybe the files from the thief CD are corrupt? Then again im fairly sure the install wizard would have failed if they were as I have had that problem with a few games.

    Cheers

Please check this in your DarkLoader.ini:

    [options]
    language=1

Am I getting this right? You put your fan missions into the same folder as your Thief Gold installation?
Don't do that, your Thief folder will get messed up for sure. Put your FMs into a seperate folder, e.g. C:\Games\ThiefFMs or something like that. Though I doubt it has anything to do with your current problem.

Well at this point im just trying to optimize the instalation. I have not actually downloaded any fan missions. The only reason I used DarkLoader is because the "Enhancement Pack" readme says to optimize with DarkLoader. All I am interested in right now is playing Thief Gold in better textures.. I will play fan missions another time!
I am just confused as to why I am getting this weird error message.

    Cheers!

Yes, no success. I´ve fiddled with install.cfg in case it would help, but still the same error:
