Wouldn't it make more sense to try to get it compiling in Windows first?

This. It'll likely be easier as well.

Yeah, I'm not expecting miracles in the next six months or anything, but the possibilities are incredible to think about. Just a relief that the source has finally come home to ttlg - this is where it belongs, and I have faith that our awesome FM community will amaze us all again with their talent and determination .

For everyone wanting new features, etc. the general route after getting the source code is:

    Code cleanup
    Getting it to compile
    Bug fixes
    Enhancements

So far I'm only seeing a VC project file for dromed, although most if not all code for all the dark games are there

It looks like they used command line tools for the main engine. As an Underworld fan it was entertaining to see the various "skup" batch files in place. I think along with code cleanup, fixing dependencies is high on the list.

As in code dependencies? I ran into alot of that when trying to get the code to compile on my pc.

It didn't matter much since the source code was incomplete - yet this fact changed and I agree with you.

Linux tends to be alot more pedantic about the little things as far as getting it to compile is concerned (from my experiences in uni). That said it can result in very fine tuned code. So not all bad.

Yes, that's what I meant. There were quite a few gaps - but that's less of a problem now.

This is just too sweet! Now to attempt to recreate the build environment so it will at least know where all the files are when the compiler spits the error "LOL!" when a build is attempted

So, anyone get anywhere with this? I've been trying to find more info on this but my google-fu is not exactly the greatest.

Swooping in from the shadows, yet again.

Well if you wish for anything for long enough you never know what might happen
