The attic door opens automatically as you stand next too it.

Chiron, you need to find the shed key.

Got it. I lurked around there before, but it never opened.

    spoiler:

I already have the shed key. How else would I have gotten the void key & the storage key & the rope?

You could douse the torches first before entering the room.

Yet another fantastic mission, Haplo Especially liked the detail & the fact that the puzzles rely on observation & logic (rather than, say, a great ear for music or a knowledge of Japanese puzzles)

You planning another in this series? (You are, aren't you? Go on, say yes......)

For plenty of Mechanist vs Haunt fun, sneak your way to the first key!

The scripts are renamed for this mission. First make sure the files NVS.osm and tnhS.osm exist in the Thief II folder (they should, they are included with the mission file and Darkloader extracts them).
I presume you are using different Thief directories for mission development and playing FM. Make sure your playing directory has been set up the same way as your mission design directory (running Thief/DromEd in admin mode etc).
Sometimes a simple restart of Thief makes the error go away.

Very cool mission. I like the way that you force the player across the map several times, without it seeming so apparant (such as the blocked door).
Like your previous mission, I really enjoyed the adventure-game style elements in this one. Using the scouting orb (I'm onto you) I managed to locate the key in the upstairs room and laborously push a barrel over to get it before even figuring out to use the chisel in the basement, and finding the note there.

My only gripe about this mission is that the note in the basement effectively tells the player what to do, and removes much of the enjoyment of figuring out how to solve the puzzles. Also, I assumed the entire time that the ghost of the Lord would attack me at some point, and everytime I came into the hallway I crept forward, anticipating his attack. Sadly (or is that happily) he never made a move.

    Thanks!

The servant's note gives a clue about how to get into that area.

I've got the coil of rope. What do I do with it?

The previous responses above didn't make any sense. How is it possible for the attic door to open if you just stand by it? That's what I've been doing and nothing happens! What are you people talking about?!

If the attic door does not open, back off and approach it again. This is strange.

Ok, it opened, but now I'm having trouble finding the fourth key lock. I know where three of them are and I suspect the fourth one is in the blocked off living room, but how do I get in there?

Did you find where to use the rope?
