I'm playing on normal/guilty, and I need to find Brian's body. I thought I had done everything, but the mission won't end - apparently the answer to "where is dead Brian" is not "in the lighthouse."

a couple other questions (that may be related to harder difficulties):
*what is the use of the secret in the kitchen?
*why is the Guardian's sarcophagus tilted?

also: in one of the readables it says that Brian and Anita's bodies were found the same night, but everything else implies she was killed later. I had a really hard time trying to reconcile this until I decided to ignore the readable.

You need to take that to the prisons and you'll see where to use it. There's a readable about it somewhere.

Actually, no. The only thing in the secret in the kitchen is a gold coin which is just loot. Nickie, I think you are thinking of Kash's coin which is in Jeremy's room.

I got the coin (whichever it was), but what was the deal with the holes in the wall right there? I thought I had to follow the light beams or something, like in Indiana Jones

Yeah, you're quite right! Shocking memory. Sorry MrM for leading you astray.

    still stuck

I am on hard, have a candle to place, Cindy's, will not stick.

It was posted by another that the candle will not stick, and it is possibly a bug.

All objectives done except meet Brian's ghost and find dead Brian.

You have to restart this FM. On Normal or Expert. Hard doesn't work.

A hammerite's got a footlocker key-->get another key. Find door for this key (2nd floor), get a new objective. Get a lockpick-->open door in 1. Floor (guardian...)-->take black book, bring it back-->get something useful for the crypt area

Ahh thank you so much! That took a while to sink in . I'd say this is a great step by step mission..with the steps following them are logical enough but not as hard as Kings Story

Side note, the lighthouse is a place where the dead comes back to life...I can spill the blood of the ghosts of Brian and Brenda, with the kill objective violated

Wonderful mission! Beautiful and touchy with the very sad music

But enjoyed playing this mission very much!

Does anybody found the secrets apart from the kitchen?

Great puzzles but sometimes hard to understand like the thing with anita ..... but very nice

But I finished with 2 out of 3 Secrets

    the Kitchen Rat
the one in the Hall of Wisdom .... the bookshelf in front of the book

So can anyone please tell me where the last one is ????

    It's in the crypts.

Outright spoiler near the Hammer symbol thingy there's a highlightable section.

Just finished on Expert now. Everything worked perfectly regardless of the order that I did things in. It was absolutely outstanding. Thank you so much.

What a terrific new FM! Beautifully done. I like the new sounds and magical effects. So much detailed work....and s-o-o-o many rooms. Thank you Eternauta! (sp)

2 questions, playing on Hard: Anita gave me the prison's key but unable to use it.
I placed the sealed envelope on the highlighted table outside Anita's room and it fell underneath the table to the floor and I can't frob it.

How do I get to the third level. I've got 1 candle (Brian's) and no "plate" to put it on... I still have to find the murderer's identity, Brian's dead body and get to his ghost. I'm playing on Guilty(easy)...

Brian's body. I have just double checked this! Have you found your way to the lighthouse? I'm playing on Expert.

    I don't know about the guardian's sarcophagus. I didn't find anything.

@ yondanbrad - I guess you need more candles before the plates become visible. I didn't play on Normal but maybe you need 1 more before the plates start appearing. You need 2 in total on Normal. Brian's body comes after you reach the 3rd floor. I believe that the murderer's identity objective is checked off once you've found something in the prison area and done something with it. But unless I go and double check that I won't swear to it. The prison area is not immediately obvious.

I walked in and nothing happened, so I assumed I had missed something earlier on. I needed to look harder!

okay, now I can talk about my impressions: Eternauta this is a fabulous mission! the architecture was gorgeous, there was an interesting storyline, and the backstory of the characters actually had me feeling for them! I am reminded of Rose Cottage, in that it wasn't particularly dangerous but there were plenty of creepy moments to keep me on my toes. I thought this would be a small missions, but you packed a lot of thieving into a fairly large area, extending game-play past the two-hour mark for me (on easy). as Killer Cat said, there were some odd "now go do this unrelated thing" parts that could have used better cues, but I still enjoyed it.
on a technical note, I found some of the new sounds distracting ("what's making that noise?! oh, it's me") and some were just too loud (the 'writing notes' sound and some clocks).
