    New T2 FM : Soulforge Revisited 18th April 2011

    SOULFORGE REVISITED

Sheriff Mosely contacted you the other day about a situation that has developed at Soulforge. Shortly after the Karras legions abandoned the cathedral they were replaced by hostile forces and consequently nobody has been able to penetrate very far into the complex.

Mosely does not know who or what these forces are but she suspects that their activities are illegal or subversive. She sent in a secret agent to investigate but he has not returned and nothing has been heard of him.

Mosely asked you to go in there, find out what is going on and tell her when it is safe to mount a raid. As a reward she will turn a blind eye if you choose to pocket any loot items you may find. That's not much inducement to undertake such a dangerous task, but you've heard rumours in town that there may be some priceless ancient artefacts hidden inside Soulforge. Finding those would justify the risk.

Credits: This FM is based on the map of the T2 original mission "Sabotage at Soulforge" by Eidos and Looking Glass Studios.

Many thanks to the tireless testers for finding numerous bugs and making helpful suggestions: nickie, Nightwalker, Ravenhook, Rufus, Peter Smith,Tannar. Also post-release testers fibanocci and Lawviz

Thanks also to the helpful residents of the TEG forum.

Thanks, FF. Loaded into my collection. I'll tackle it in a few days. The Last Light... has me occupied at the moment.

JonesCrusher: The reason I haven't produced an FM before is my complete lack of architectural ability. The reloaded contest missions motivated me to attempt something along the same lines.

Congratulations on the release of SR, ffox! I had a blast testing it and never, ever got bored with it which is quite an accomplishment considering that Soulforge was the T2 OM that I liked the least. This is a huge improvement on it and great fun.

    Congratulations

I opened the bay A doors (the front door where Garrett starts in the OM?) using fire arrows, but the objective won't check off

I found a metal door (behind barrels) in the northern area. How to open it?

    And where's Dewdrop?

Already somebody's found something we overlooked. *sigh* We betatesters DO try, I promise you.

fibanocci you aren't supposed to blow open the Bay A doors. Complete all the other objectives then come back and you can just open them.

Karras chamber? How to get inside? I even made a sunburst device but no avail

Edit: A frogbeast opened the door to Karras chamber

I have to say that this is the first mission I've ever played where I found a real use for frogbeasts. Somehow they worked very well for me. But I hadn't thought of that. You should be able to find the right way in now.

No, that's not the way it's supposed to work. There's another way in.
