A new game, PC-only, "hard-sci-fi" cyberpunk FPS from Flying Wild Hog games has been announced and it is already on the horizon: september. No big ads, no previews, bam: RELEASE DATE
But they got a teaser trailer and while the protagonist looks cheesy the blade-runnery scenery and flying cars make up for it. The studio consists of former members from "people can fly", "CDPR" and City Interactive.
RPS has a summary
and a the teaser:

Could it be awesome ? The HUD looks bad....
Ok City I is a cheap clone factory (still managed to sell bucketloads of Sniper thou), but CDPR ain`t no saint either.
So perhaps the folks that quit CI were the talented ones bored of cloning. Plus CDPR & PCF employees - two shops known for hit games. Not so bad for a pedigree, is it now? Cmon`, give them a chance...
Also - PC ONLY. What was the last time you heard that phrase?
(Ok, it will probably be crap & the name sucks, I`m just high on Dishonored vibes ;)

Like always, I'll reserve my judgement until I've actually played the thing.
I got a feeling this game (released in September) might be sort of similar...or maybe more akin to old school FPSs - a straighforward romp through some levels. Not necessarily a bad thing, if the price is right.
He meant Pre-Enhanced Edition Witcher.
And I meant Polish.
No, I'm not proud.
Don't worry faetal, I got it.
I did, too...kinda used to this, it was worse when I was bartending in a strip joint. Pole dancing, geddit?
You lost me at the second verse thou.
I got it too faetal, and I liked it.
What is Eva on about people? Google gives me nothing.
Wasn't Red making an FPS ages ago? They've shown a teaser and I remember Spritis Within like monsters.
It was called They. It's been either put on hold indefinitely or outright cancelled, can't remember.
Cancelled a fair amount of time ago.
So it's a Doom/Painkiller-esque, old school KILL EVERYTHING shooter, in a Blade Runner-ish setting? I'm interested now.
If done well, it could prove to be a nice break from all the heavily-scripted post-HL FPSes.
Could be a nice companion game to Serious Sam 3 (since they're being released around roughly the same time).

I have to admit, I respect their line on multiplayer, and to some extent PC-exclusivity. Though I kind of selfishly wish the PC had more going for it at this point than graphics... it's a sad day indeed if that's the only reason devs can give for not bothering to go cross-platform. But I really do have to ask at this point what they mean by 'player-environment interaction'. And to note that trading 'on-rails' for 'monster arena shooter' isn't exactly my idea of a good time.
I hope they'll release a demo!
In the eyes of developers. Refer to:
Of course, excluding other benefits doesn't make them moot, but it seems to show where their priorities lie.If you want to show some amazing graphics, itís better and easier to develop the game for PCs.
Holy crap batman! Its a PC game! I look forward to being able to traverse back through menus with my escape key... and being able to join dedicated multiplayer servers that run 24/7!
