And yet you play an old Super Nintendo game like Super Metroid or Axelay and they still look awesome.

2D sprite power ftw *raises fist*. Though mode 7 effects nowadays do look a bit janky I'll admit.

Crysis's best bits were going through the jungle like you were The Predator. First game to give that vibe so well. Yes we had AvP1 by then, but even that didn't do it effectively to the feel of The Predator in the original movie.

I'm taking a bit of a break from Fallout: New Vegas, so I decided to finally play Titanfall 2. So far, it's... okay, I guess? I'm not as much into mechs as others are, and I like the traversal options you have on foot (double jump, wall run), but they kinda make me wish I was playing a less shootery game with such ways of getting around a level. Perhaps I should play Mirror's Edge rather than Titanfall 2? Anyway, it's enjoyable enough, even if I'm not over the moon, and a) I hear there are some great levels and ideas down the road and b) the campaign is short enough.

Of note since you mention New Vegas. The Fallout 4 New Vegas mod team put out this video today, which showcases the start of the game done in Fallout 4. I found it most impressive:

Just played Florence, the latest game by the folks behind Monument Valley.

It's a short but sweet story. Well worth picking up for anyone who has an iOS/Android device, 4 bucks, and a heart.

It's a non-verbal story with some thoughtfully designed interactivity based around its lack of words; if a slice of life story told well within that framework doesn't constitute a game, then you could just call it interactive fiction.

Just in case you're serious and not just (possibly ironically) being one of those trite "not a game" people:

There's no challenge, but the interactivity does - in many clever ways - serve to convey the character's feelings at different points in the story.

edit: Sulph beat me to it

Lol I didn't mean it as a criticism, I was just confused by the trailer.
