    This New Revision May 28th 2013 covers the following improvements.
    Refined difficulty for Adept, and Master. A newer area for the player. Some powerups, and reduced hitpoints on the NetherWorld Ai. Loot requirements are higher, starting at 8,000. The Story remains the same. Average time in 1 hour 30 minutes, 2 hours on Adept and Master. Loot requirements of 9,000 and 10,000.

    There is 2 new areas for the player now, 1 at the beginning of the mission, and one in the Netherworld.

    Added to this huge mission is well over 1,000 new objects, and it now has well over 100 ai. Take the original mission:miss11.mis and double it for size to give you an idea of it's massive sq footage. Filling the maps up took New Dark v1.19 to make it possible, and this was the only reason I chose to revise it. To make it possible!

    At the very bottom of this thread is a list of secrets and their locations, as well as a hint, if you find it too difficult to get through in the NetherWorld.

    Technical notes: The gas mines don't work, but there are only two of them. They can be used like a noise arrows to divert the attention of guards and such. This was due to porting from Thief Gold to Thief 2.(Fixable but I didn't.)
    Beware of saving during a lightning flash, as the dynamic light will stay for awhile. If you do, then proceed to the Winter Tunnels in a dark spot for 5 minutes, and save a couple times. Should go away after a reload.

    Known Issues: Framerate may be low in some areas, but a modern machine should handle it with no problems. Has not been tested on Windows98, or Windows2000.

    In part of the second half of the mission the player will have to cycle through the weapons, as some of them cannot be assigned keys or numbers.

    This mission is at it's limits, but the pal count is only 151. It is equivalent to 2 Original Missions placed in 1 mission file. It is huge ! Have fun, as it was made for fun only !

    Note: Clues- This mission is full of readables, and enough clues to be able to follow it without having to search this thread or ask for answers. It takes the learning experience away from you. If you choose a higher difficulty level than you can handle, lower it to "Adept" or "Beginner", then work your way up the scale. You will understand the story much better and get more satisfaction for your time playing it. It is a Large map, and it will take some time to explore all of it.

    Optional Objectives: There are many for the sake of replay. Why would a taffer want to do the same exact thing over and over ? Well thats just me, so there are alot of them.
    It makes it better after knowing the Story, and the location of all of the loot not to have to read over books that have been read and understood , and be able to find the loot blindfolded.

    Some known technical issues: In the second half of the mission, you will have to cycle your weapons, as some are not assigned to keys, as in this circumstance they could not. I use the wheel on my mouse, so it is no problem. The hot keys workfine at the beginning of the mission, but you will see why later.
    Framerate can be low in some areas, but nothing a good machine cant handle. This has not been tested with Windows98, or Windows2000.
    The mission is huge, and is comparable to 2 large OM's. It is maxed out, but still plays nice.
    The 3 videos are made with Indeo Codec V50, Similar to LGS videos, at 15fps.

    This an English Language version, but I will work on German, French, and Italian. If anyone wants a language conversion and will work with me, let me know. Zappen, I still have all of the material, and some french material as well, but just couldn't handle all of the translations right now. They will come !

    Suggestions for easy play: Go with the flow and read everything you can find. There are Conversation Actors in this, and some of the story is revealed. There are lots of clues, probably more than needed. Please try to work out the story instead of referring to this thread if you get hung up. Start on "Beginner" if you are one. If you start on "Master" and you have not Mastered my game, please start at a lower difficulty level. There will be a use for using your "Lean Forward" key.

    Clues are fine here, but please no out right spoilers, as this is the easy way out, and not a good way to learn the game.

    Spoiler: Do not read until completing mission ! Synopsis of Story.

    The World and the Planet is in Turmoil. Hammerite prophecy is unfolding. Man has become morally decadent, and the Hammers have tried to help mankind by influencing a code upon them. The Builder's wrath is now upon the World, as he is angry, and in his anger has broken a chunk of a great star in the heavens with his mighty hammer.
    A Comet the size of Jupiter is whirling toward the earth, and it is just a matter of time before the doom of mankind comes. The Comet is causing earthquakes, and odd behavior of the planet. Many people are being killed by Metorites, Plagues, and by Wars. Evil is upon the earth.

    The Hammerite Scientists are busy trying to develop a plan to destroy the Comet before it reaches earth. (Conversation in the Laboratory)

    Meanwhile the Hammerites hold hope that re-instituting the Moral code into the World for the last attempt to save the Planet and all who live on it. The Keepers working on their own plan, seize the opportunity to lure Garrett into a plan of going into the netherworld to retrieve the seven sacred scrolls of Virtue. Observing the Hammerite order, and all the Cataclysmic events in the World, their plan is that Garrett die, and retrieve the Virtues along with the Talisman of life, then return to the land of the living in hopes that the Inquisitor can somehow appease the Builder into diverting or destroying the Comet.

    Garrett being lured by this idea, is killed by the Inquistor, and successfully collects the 7 scrolls of viture and delivers them to the Inquisitor. Even after being informed of his death by his spirit of the earth; Garrett somehow believes that the Talisman of life can return him to normal life in the land of the living. To his dismay, after seeing himself buried in the Cemetery, he realizes that he found exactly what he was supposed to find....The virtue he lacked : The Virtue of Prudence. Soon after, a part of the planet is destroyed as explained in the "Synopsis of Revelations". (The first conversation between the Hammerite Guard and the Novice in the Cathedral)
    Read the skull, after reading Garrett's gravestone, and it will basically tell you why Garrett is no longer interested in worldly things. The optional objectives are cancelled, but complete in the world of the living,but not needed any longer in death. And, for the happy ending of Garrett: He is no longer lost, nor will he have to suffer the Netherworld as his place of dwelling. The Builder had a plan for him. The Ultimate of Secrets goal is accomplished at Garrett's grave, when Garrett realizes that he wont be a part of the Netherworld. The skull at the base of the gravestone explains it. The conversation near the Library is a clue to the ending story of Garrett and the Hammerites who were all killed when the Comet finally reached the earth. The Ultimate of Secrets is cancelled when Garrett now a Limbo Spirit (Having arrived back to an earthly plane) sees his earthly body of flesh in his grave, and jumps down into the grave to take a closer look. A Man of flesh would consider the knowledge of life after death the Ulitmate of secrets, however what does it matter to one who is living after death here on earth. Hence, the objective is cancelled.

    Another spoiler if you find Adept and Master difficulty to be frustrating. Use your Nether Water Arrows to extinguish the Lanterns carried by the Haunts, Zombies, what ever. Also, there are plenty of new powerups planted in the Netherworld to make it a little easier. Now, the player has even more a reason to put together the 3 Holy Frag Bombs as an aid to get through the mission a little easier.

    Thanks pwl, try this:If you have the scrolls and have read them, then go back to the winter tunnels where you came into the Netherworld. Go back down the opening in the floor, and the rest will be taken care of.

    Well I seem to have a huge bug. When I click to start a new game it goe black and then crashes to desktop. No movie and no mission! Just a window asking if I want to report this to microsoft or not. I suspect a movie problem! Any help or fix appreciated!

    Edit: Well I reinstalled the codecs and it works now. Wierd as I just played the sequel to ransom and they worked fine. Wonder why this happens like this? Oh well I'm off to play!

    need some help

    I have the 4 scrolls, looked at all of them.

    I noticed a room I cannot get to in the bldg with the organ at the bottom level. There is an elevator shaft that is blocked at the very top.

    I noticed a glyph in the winter tunnels that did not seem to do anything.

    Also there is what looks like a key lock in the library I have no key for.

    a hint please. not been to netherworld, not figured out how to progress.

    You have the 4 map fragments. When you looked at all of them, you should have received a new objective. Suggest a search around the top level of the library.

    I'm in Shadowcrawler's situation. I'm in
    spoiler:
    the library and am looking at the glyph on the ceiling. I see a yellow pyramid and two red buttons. I tried shooting arrows but to no avail...even though it seemed a bit daft to do so. Who is this map keeper?
