    T2 FM: The Library of Babel (12/12/2011)

    Here is a tiny mission for you. Actually it is more of an intermission than a mission, since it happens not before or after, but during the events of A Sorrowful Farewell.
    A good chunk of the map ("the lobby") is based on another abandoned mission by PinkDot. I added the "main library".

    ===============================================
    * Story *

    Valfar asked me to put the Artifact on the pedestal in the abyss and wake up the Guardians. He warned me that the sheer force of magic released by doing so might make me leave this world for a short while; and indeed that was what happened. But where did I go?
    ===============================================

    Download link: The Library of Babel

    Game-play wise the mission is different from the usual Thief maps since it does not involve any stealing or enemies. It is quite short but you will be able to read and do some interesting stuff. Just like my previous missions, I'd like to ask you not to give out outright spoilers when helping the others on the forum.

    The reason I made this mission if because I felt I had left something unfinished after A Sorrowful Farewell. I hope you will enjoy playing it.

    And I hope The Mike will stop sending me pictures of crying puppies.

    Great! Congrats on the release.
    Sort of ironic for a tiny mission to be called the Library of Babel, though, which was supposed to be like a planet sized library holding every book imaginable.

    Congrats, on the release Haplo!

    I really like the interactivity of the mission. It was shame I couldn't do what I think everyone would want to try to do in the 'library' proper.

    Now I need some help, please
    I've used the Oil Lamp, Sponge and Mirror. But I can't find anywhere to use the rock, can't break the boards where the mouse is and can't get the key in the grating, Some clues please, thanks!

    Haplo: What a great gift this was thank you!!

    I would like to see this made into a larger mission or campaign!! It seems that the story could be huge.

    Just a thought and thanks again for your continued great work!!

    Wow! That was a mind blower! Thank you for all your creativity, and "pinkdot", too!
    Once I got started, it became somewhat logical...I think.
    First time through, I finished in 1 hour and I was sorry it ended. As "pwl" said, I too would like to see it made into a larger mission.

    Ali, you're becoming a drom-ed maniac!

    As told in a book: never mind to open up all the doors in the maze library.
    There's nothing there.

    Have you found the rat key yet? Use it on an upstairs door and look behind that door there's a cane.

    Go back to the glue and you'll know what to do by now, I guess.

    Very nice little Mission

    I like missions where you can act like you are in a point-and-klick-adventure

    Gratulation

    By the way .... is there a book about Garret in the Main-Library ???

    Thanks, Haplo. Nice little mission with several quests. Some were a very little bit tricky to guess how to solve, but everything's quite logical unlike Zontiks' missions.

    Is it the last mission of the story? Do you plan combining everything into one campaign? Would be cool as the plot gets forgotten because of intervals between playing separately released missions. Great work!
