T2 Ambushed and I am lost

For the life of me I can't understand where I am on the map. Is there a key to figuring out where on the map you are? I have done the first 2 objectives. My last one is to get to Shalebridge and I can't find the right way there. I have been wandering around knocking out guards for a few hours now.

I did just now find the gate and end the mission. My fault was not getting close enough with the dark screen to see that I could unlock it.
