Yeah, I've been watching that thread, even though I haven't commented on it lately...The EP has been really rolling along, and is mostly completed now!...I say, that it deserves the higher priority until it's finished...

We all know you've been fighting the good fight on the Thief IV Discussion forum, Vae!
The EP has been gathering pace lately. We have some really outstanding texture artists contributing to it, and with Nameless Voice at the helm, it is slowly coming to fruition.
A great time to be a classic Thief fan!

    Spot on, Chris.

These two are drop in replacement textures for fatman1a and fatman1b models from T2X.
I imagined them as "nouveau riche" gangster types in matching naff outfits (brothers, of course).
I've used online free resources for the face textures and various bits 'n' bobs on this pair, not too Hi-Res mind you.
There are certain stipulations regarding the use of T2X resources (none of them involve a giant hedgehog called Spiny Norman) so use these where applicable, and always give credit to the original T2X artists ahead of my piddling efforts.

EDIT: I've almost finished the Fire Beast creature based on tdbonko's fantastic Antronach AI.
I hoping to release a mini mission featuring the fiery brute soon.

    EDIT 2:
A drop in replacement for veaif2a.bmp for model femsun1, also from T2X.

I think these lace or something on her hands - a bad idea. More like a disease.

    maybe white lace?

I don't think it's a bad idea. It could have been executed a bit better, granted, but as free textures go it's not that bad.
I'll probably do a few different coloured ensembles, but I shall give the white lace/red dress combo a go.

Edit: White lace, and I've tweaked the hair a wee bit too.

I think it looks good...But if you want to play around, I would try black lace on the arms.

    Soviet Forces (1950s) Zombie pack.
Better Red Than UnDead was the original concept for Thief.
In this story line you would have played a C.I.A. agent (Cold War), dispatching Soviet Army Zombies with a sword instead of good ol' fashioned bullets. The LGS executives didn't like this idea however, and BRTU never saw the light of day.
It would make a cool concept for an FM, though.

A little pack of bystanders to use as you wish.
    Contents:
3 Male servants (same livery, ready for duty at your mansion).
    2 Female servants (same livery)
2 Dress Uniformed Men (attending a fancy ball, perhaps).
2 Sinister guys in black (up to no good at all).

    Models are included (LGS' finest).

Well done, Purg...I like the variety, and especially the nefarious men in black.

Good to see you back in the saddle again...

    Thanks Vae.
I've been busy working on a couple of fan missions of my own lately, I hope to have them finished soon.
Once I've completed them, I want to get back to the EP and a few more skin packs ( upgrades for TDP and TMA in the works ).
I've also been toying around with a Thief Skin, Construction Kit using Gimp free software.
With this, you will be provided with all the components to build your own A.I skins.
It's early days and all that.

    Spot on, Chris.

This is a pack based on Yandros' Hammerite Mission Development Kit.
There's 45 Skins in total (models included).

    Contents:

    2 Inquisitor Priests
    6 Hammer Priests
    3 Hammer Priestesses
    8 Hammer Soldiers
    6 Female Hammer Soldiers
    6 Hammer Archers
    1 Brother Murus
    8 Sword Hammers
    5 Hammer Haunts

If you do choose to use these in your FM, be sure to credit Yandros, Willie and the HMDK (and me) in your readme.
Models and designs in this new pack originate from HMDK, so show some props. OK ?
Please PM me if you intend to use any of these skins/models in future Mods or updates to existing Mods.
Anyway, I hope they come in useful.

    Cheers,

    -Purgator

Edit: Yandros' HMDK includes new voice sets for Hammer AI's plus a whole host of other cool stuff, so check it out!

    Thanks Vae.

This was my attempt to emulate the look of the original Hammer texture.
I have to admit, the original TDP AI textures are still my favourites.

    Spot on, Chris.

I happened to be working on one of the Hammerite chapels in DCE today and started dropping these skins in before placing AI, and I must say they look great in game. Thanks again, Purgator! Only thing is, they are a bit darker than the rest of the DCE skins (which is your style, I understand that) so I did have to boost gamma on the lot of them or else they'd stick out. But they look awesome.

One question - have you done any Hammerite novices, like the ones I did in the HMDK? I'm still using my old skins for those, and if better ones are out there I'd like to update and have all the Hammers looking equally good.

HAAA!!! The scary angry hammerite face is back?
It traumatised me when I was young worst than the zombies! xD

It's so cool to see them back in HD

    Thanks guys.
@Yandros: I will be doing some more of the HMDK soon, I'll make sure the novices will be in the next pack.
@gamophyte: I forgot that black tunic Hammer was in there actually. I could make some more if you wanted them.
@FireMage: The Hammers in TDP always scared the bejesus out of me too, especially when they cried "Thou art for it now".
They were quick buggers to boot, at least you could out-manoeuvre a zombie.

    Spot on, Chris.

If I had a blackjack I would love to see those awesome models in a mission so I could knock them all out I'd also love to use them in my FM's because they're so phenomenal and excellent. I also really love how you remade that angry looking T1 guards face by making it so much more interesting.
