Interesting list. While I have various opinions about those songs, they made some effort to explain the background of each track and its importance in the game, which is way more interesting than an arbitrary ranking with no clear or defined criteria. More stuff like that sans random grading would be nice.
Here's some songs that have stuck with me from games.
Katamari Damacy: Too many. Here's two faves.
Lonely Rolling Star: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okEluVGlWio
and Katamari on the Swing:
Nier: Emil - Sacrifice
Hitman Blood Money: Apocalypse
Homeworld: Adagio for Strings
Shatter: Amethyst Caverns
Max Payne 3: Tears
It's odd - other than the one at the end of Portal, I'm struggling to think of any.
Yup, Transistor's final song was a lovely way to close out a gorgeous game. Had that on repeat for a while on the playlist.
faetal: surely MP3's two musical interludes stand out a bit? The bar shootout with Wild in the Streets playing in the background was a highlight when it happened.
I'm sure I've experienced some, I just don't feel like I remember any.
I really need to play MP3 again though.
Currently listening to the songs you guy posted above. The 2nd Katamari tune kinda sounds like a Scatman song. Though that's more the voice of the guy singing, than anything. Just sounds similar to me.
Arc The Lad 3's track - Way of The Earth always sticks with me, since you have an active part in it + it has a Disney tune, kinda sound to it.
One Winged Angel from Final Fantasy 7 as well, of course.
I've never played Starsiege before, but this track from the game is fantastic. Tunes called "Mech Soul" I think. Has me very much thinking of Mech battles going on.

War, never been so much fun! Has that telltale fuzzy, slightly halting feel of an early 90s mod file but hey, not bad for a game that came on floppies and predates MP3s.
Also Stiletto's introduction from Anachronox. The characters came to life in that game, in a way you'd never believe for lumpy collections of Quake 2 polygons.
I haven't played it, but this one deserves a mention as well.
First one I thought of was this:
Technically not a credits sequence, but an intro. Still: so much amazingness. Low-rent Jim Carrey clone in full-tilt Riddler mode, acting befitting a porno flick, 90s FMV aesthetics, and then suddenly: Kafka.
Well intro's and credit sequences are 2 different things entirely (unless it's both).
If I were to include intro's to games, I could easily think of hundreds of good ones.
And man I love FMV's. Hadn't seen that one before (for Bad Mojo).
Top 10 Open World Games added. Agree on this one for the most part.
Top 10 Video Games With Awkward Live Action Scenes also.

OH god that Kingdom Hearts platforming...
Nothing of recent memory that springs to mind for a game with a bad camera.
dammit iceman, I started watching thru the other WatchMojo top10 vids, you converted me I don't know if I am just bored or if it's "easy" listen while I do mundane work, but I like to keep those running in the back.
Don't worry, it's the same for me on a daily basis . I'm a sucker for Top 10 lists. I'm finding myself more and more glued to Youtube each day, watching through new videos of the channels I'm subscribed to.
Find it more fun than watching normal television these days.
My top video game songs are anything from the first 4 Silent Hill games. They are truly haunting and I wish I could catch Akira Yamaoka's band on tour.
Snake Eater from MGS3 is also a favorite.
Yea, I LOVE SH3 soundtrack to death (it is literally the only oldschool SurHor game I actually liked and want to replay). The second has some awesome songs as well.
4 has a couple of good ones as well.
