10 Thief Gold mission? Just when I thought life could not get any better.

Skacky - love your missions and love TG. Can't wait till its release. It will be like Christmas as a kid all over again. Screenshots look terrific. Now the waiting...........................

A new ten mission campaign for Thief Gold, that deals with the City's Underworld and features the great sprawling and beautiful level design of Skacky. That sounds amazing.Having pretty much every FM for Thief DP and Gold I only skipped a few I didn't care for, foreign language or just didn't work properly, now I still got to do the Gem of Provence update and Dirty Money. But in all of the missions I found yours to be among my favorites. Its funny that bbb was the post before mine because he also made some of my favorite TG FM's

Thanks a ton for all the help offerings. We will contact everyone who offered to help in due time, once we have everything mostly ready.
I've been working hard on revising the briefings and various conversations in the past few days and Squadafroin also made a pivotal point in the campaign's storyline a whole lot better, which means we had to rewrite a bunch of stuff.

All pen-drawn, even! You can tell from the various little mistakes I made here and there.

This is like hearing that there's a Portal 3/Half-Life 3 mashup coming out. And it's set in the Elder Scrolls universe.

Every time I see the name of this project, I can't help but think of that really shitty My Chemical Romance album and song. Hoping this project will make me think of this instead. Also hoping it isn't in any way connected.

It's not. That's what happens when you don't google your project name.

At least it wasn't the title of some 70s porn movie.

I hope sounds design is a big consideration here. Thief 1 still holds to me, mostly because of the sound. In fact at this point I believe new sounds is the only way to trigger immersive feelings of first playing. If someone buys me a quality mic I promise to release whole voice sets for AI in this project.

Look for my name here http://www.darklurker.org/ziili.html

This is incredible news. Endless Rain is probably my favorite FM I've ever played, not to mention the mention the excellent Quake maps skacky is responsible for. Can't wait!

I couldn't contain my enthusiasm and wanted to try out my shiny new video editing tools, so I decided to create a small introduction video, without any foreknowledge about the campaign and using a pedantic quote by the protagonist's namesake.

Hope you like it and if not, that you're not offended by it.

I'm very offended by how good this is.
We could very well need someone of your talents for the videos. We're not there yet though, even if we're progressing pretty well.

Do you need any music, ambient or sound effects?

Well, I don't know how much it's possible, but it would be really nice if someone could "rip" noises and music from the cutscenes and briefing, and loop the musics if possible.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUxsgmJv-2c
For instance, the creepy drone that start at 0:21; Could be nice to have it without the crickets noises or the heavy machinery roaring, something like three or fours layers like the vox used from Bafford's manor

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28sQGe5BfiA
Or the porcine laughter from Bafford's cutscenes, here right at 1:12.

You won't believe how much sound design is important when you're making a map to create a mysterious atmosphere, take a stroll through The Chalice of Souls and listen well

Okay, I don't think I can do that, but I would be able to produce new ambient effects or tracks that sound similar to the original style.

Thanks, good to hear! I'm available when you're ready.

I think that would be very hard to do. Child Of Karras has done some great work with the Thief soundtrack and cleaning up the hiss from the old audio tracks, he might know if lifting effects from the original audio mix is at all possible.

Wow, this is awesome news! Any campaign for Thief is fab news! And this looks great <3 Can't wait to play. I hope it makes it before summer holidays, or I'll be spending my time waiting to play this game

Question: The map is pretty nice, building on the originals, so will this be available in-game? If yes, will it be a bit clearer? I'm sorry but I can't really tell what all the smaller names of districts say...

Ripping audio tracks is not too difficult.

I just can't wait for this campaign.
