Mine was Between These Dark Walls.
Me it was Cathedral of the Damned, still have a soft spot for that mission.
My mind is a bit fuzzy, but I think my second was one of the Trickster's Gem Mine campaign missions (Up Sh... Creek I believe)
Mine was Between These Dark Walls.

Tom's fun level and Stowaway were my first 2 :P

Escape Hammer Hill, If I remember correct.
I also remember I installed it manually, without Darkloader (didn't even know about that program back then).
Christmas Present by Naks and P Forth. I was amazed at the piano scene near the church.

Inverted Manse.
Noble Death with ThiefLoader or something like that. I don't remember.
T2X
Benny's Dead by The Gingerbread Man, although I played it some years after it's 2000 release date. Still my one of my all time favourites.

Spot on, Chris.
I think mine was Moth to a Flame by Madwolf.
It was The Restored Cathedral by Zaccheus because I couldn't wait to see what happened to that building.![]()

Prowler of the Dark.
Calendra's Cistern, and it pretty much melted my brain.
Autumn in Lampfire Hills.
I just tried it for a lark, but then left Thief FMs alone for several years untili 2009 when I got back into them full swing.
Been swinging ever since.
Mine was The Vigil, but I didn't know anything about FM loaders or the like, so I was just opening them up in DromEd and using alt+g. (hey, I was 11, gimme a break!) I was blown away by the design, but found it super frustrating that I couldn't save or load, so I'd hafta either beat it in one go or start from scratch.
I discovered darkloader a couple years later. The first FM I ever completed using darkloader was The 7th Crystal. Needless to say, I was hooked.
The seven sisters, Ominous bequest gold
(The ones on top of the-circle list)
Well well well!
I am surprised I'm the first to mention the original Gathering at the Bar, the FM that proved to LGS the fan community was worthy of the editing tools. To be honest, I played it, liked it, then promptly forgot about FMs for two years, and only returned when there was already a handful of them. At that time, my point of return was the excellent Death of Garrett, which set the stage nicely for what would follow.
I believe it was Masque of Red Death.
Autumn in Lampfire Hills here too. It started a very long and obsessive hobby.
Fun reading, here's a similar thread on this topic from about 10 years ago.

T2X, followed by A Thief's Holiday 2004 (because it was featured on the Thief Wiki).
