    It's in the spider tunnels, however there could be multiple ways to access it. Explore all areas both above and below.

    The Rebellion of the Builder 2 : Mission 3

    Right now I am enjoying the third mission of this gorgeous campaign. Awesome custom monsters!
    One question:
    The giant red spider guards a treasure chamber. After I took care of this giant red spider (Yes, I killed it with my sword! ), I noticed the entrance seems to be sealed with cobweb (too strong for my sword to open up). Vague spoilers, for opening this chamber please!

    I think he wants to know how to break the web. Doing so reveals a secret. There's a fire crystal behind one of the webbed corpses that will help you.

    That's right, I was thinking of returning there later, forgot about the secret in this mission.

    AFAIK that EE is just for show.

    I'll leave it to GORT for hints on hidden missions, I think he wants them very hard to find.

    Playing on Deathmatch I'm seriously outnumbered by those large spiders.

    I KO a transparent AI that sounds like a haunt. Who is this AI?

    Still waiting for an answer for mission 2

    How do I get past that blue treebeast standing in a small corridor outside?

    I've explored all of the spidertunnels but don't know where to go from there.

    @Gloria:
    You can't get by that treebeast or access that area, but you might see something cool in there at a certain time. There is more than one set of tunnels and there's a forest section with moving treesbeasts between them. Eventually you should come out through another forest area to a gate but you'll need the key.

    And where can I find that key.
    I've been through all spidertunnels.
    Also have been to the treebeast area.

    That key should be next to a pile of bones which are located near/behind one of the large red spiders.

    I can't find this key. I discovered a tunnel with three spiders, where I can see red giant spider and statues. But still no trace of the pile of bones or the key. ROTB 2 is a very difficult campaign to ghost and to avoid kills.

    @Vera
    That's a different giant red spider but that place with the statues becomes important in a later mission. There are two sets of tunnels, you need to emerge from the first one then go through some forest to the second one where the key is located. However, there is an alternate way to the key found above ground - look for a forest section with a single frogbeast near the beginning, go to the end and look around very carefully.

    I found that key. Do I really have to go through the maze with treebeasts?

    I managed to finish this mission.

    I'm seriously annoyed and frustrated with this mission thus far. Too many beasts I can't avoid or hide from.
    And reading the comments above does not make me look forward to trying to negotiate passage through it.
    Harrumph.

    Maybe I'll start over.

    Have you looked at the walkthrough? You might try Dahenjo's method of running flat out through the tunnels. Use my map to plot a course and run like hell.
