    T2X final mission strategies

This will of course contain spoilers.

Are there any strategies for completing the final cave beyond just running up to the scales, grabbing them, then running back, hoping that while you are running to and fro you do not get nailed by one of the enemies?

Is there maybe a stealthy way to get the scales?

There is a stealthy way. It involves dousing torches near the scales and crouching in to get them along the water pool.

Then just wait in shade until the beastie kills Malak, and throw the scales into lava from all the way back there to kill the beastie. Easy

Thanks. Although I couldn't get the scales to land in the lava from close to the river. But if the beast killes everything else it is not too much hassle to then run and throw.

On another note, I love the hammer. Much more satisfying to clonk someone with it than the blackjack.

I would have preferred it to have finished after the mission before, with a happy ending.

    Anyway, since this is back...

What is the deal with those flaming skulls in The Cure? I haven't figured out how to deal with them yet. What attacks work? And why do they sometimes fire several projectiles at you, whereas other times they just teleport to some location further away?

Elemental crystals: what does the transformed gas arrow do? I tried firing it at a Watcher but the game crashed every time.

And on another note, if ever a game needed a voice line reaction at a particular moment, then it is T2X when in the kitchen in the Hotel mission. Instead this significant moment is met with silence from Zaya.

About the first mission. Am I the only one who found it a little frustrating running round and round in circles with no idea where you are meant to go to escape? I'll bet I ran past the hole more than once but missed it because you have no time to stop and look around at the environment.

Yet another query, this time for the hotel mission. The objective says to dump Kedar near the starting gate or on the City streets. How exactly do you get to the City streets?

Don't worry about it. Just get to the natural end of the mission while carrying Kedar. Did you not find it? I believe it was kind of close to kind Kedar himself.

I'll have another look but I don't remember anything that looked like City Streets down in the basement level. Would be great if there was, as it is an effort to carry him all the way to the starting gate.

Ah, so there is a torch that can be frobbed in the wine cellar near to the kitchen, leading to the secret exit. It takes you to a small section of the City that can also be visited in miss 3. Thanks for the pointer.

11 years after I first play the game I discover what the "Saya" thing that they joke about at the start is about. The answer lies in an alternative audio file zaya103.wav. It relates to her not being able to say her own name properly. Wonder why they replaced it with the shorter zaya103b which does not explain it.
