This thread is for participants to share screenshots and teasers of their missions for the T1 20th Anniversary Contest. If you would like it shared anonymously (which is not required), you can send a link to the hosted image to me, skacky or a mod and we will post the screenshot on your behalf.

Here are a couple from my project:

Not sure what mod you're talking about, this thread is for posting screens of people's WIP missions for the T1 Contest.

lmao yandros ,you got the one intruder painting at least, but the single grape,i mean i am sure if you put some of effort into it you could arrange 3 grapes in that bowl, also they can be added to outside vines against a wall,i have never been a fan of the healing potions, due to it over healing in my view,i think grape do 3 health on expert?

and whats up with that other paintings?

and about mod thing,i was checking forum topics and i saw a new notice on a new mod for board,so i read it and saw it was you,so i just figured while i saw your amazing screen shots i would throw a grats to you,as i feel you deserve it

i also anted to post i find the design of the grape amazing as trying to make a bunch of grapes must be so hard sue to how engine works

and yes i know i cant ask for dewdrop as he was in thief 2,trail of blood mission, that is why i asked if you see fit to add 1 intruder painting and 2-3 grapes, also a classic touch to remember all the lost fan mission authors, you could add 3 coins on a table somewhere ,and if one fell off table on ground next to it ,it would be ok,or a few coins in a bathroom next to the toilet=that is something i have seen so many times i figured its kinda a fan mission trademark

yes i am excited for this contest the list of authors is omg amazing

an dyes i messed up on pan flute guy ,as i forgot that other painting had him,but you knew what i ment with intruder painting,i always felt that piece had a deeper meaning to thief one,as i thought people who had it were kinda secretly followers of the woodsie lord

Mine will be a simple mission happening in a hotel. This is Garrett's room:

Nothing fancy, really. Building nice architecture was never my strength anyway.

I haven't decided if I want to enter in the contest yet, but here is one screenshot many have already seen and another what I finished just a moment ago...

Looks great to me, Haplo. Part of the charm of this contest isn't just being limited to stock resources, it's also seeing who will build in the simpler style of the OMs and who does more fancy architecture even with vanilla textures - I think we'll get a nice mix. My own entry is going to be a two-mission release, with the first mission being more in the OM style (since it takes place in Downtowne near the Overlord's Fancy), and the second being more like a Melan or skacky mission with taller buildings (taking place in a more upscale area in North Quarter). The first mission will focus more on street-level stealth, while the second will get vertical and have a more thieves' highway style.

Yandros are we insynch right now? Lol. Mine involves the North Quarter side of The City too hahaha. It deals with more Keepers and Hand Mages though with a twist of Detective work

Wow. Some nice screenshots already. I better get building. Usually, I build very slowly, but it seems I will have to step up my game.

Yandros, a 2 mission campaign? You are a machine!!

Only because the story I have planned requires two areas which are too far apart to make the player travel in game. I measured it out and if I am faithful to the city map it would be about 20x the size of Assassins to cover the space in between Downtowne and North Quarter. Splitting it up also allows me to have a cutscene/briefing in between them too.

To keep things non-spoilery, I have opted for two screenshots whose contents won't make an appearance in my contest mission. (Long story short, something that started out as one side street started to grow into an entire city block due to a bad design decision and its ripple effects, and I decided to spin it off into a small secondary mission before it overtook the main project.)

amazing stuff but omg that original lava texture in thief is in my view the most outdated texture for motion in game, bentraxx spoiled me with his lava update https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6GnAriid0dA

you all have plenty of time who will be the first person to ask for an extension, when the contest draws near

I'm still planning out my mission, but I will say it involves some city streets, some sewers, and a manor.

@downwinder: I think that's why participants were given a full year for this contest, so there would be plenty of time to build and test a mission before the deadline, and therefore, no reason why anyone should need extra time.

No extension to the deadline will be allowed. Thief: The Dark Project was released on 29th November 1998, so the point of this anniversary contest is to release all the contest missions on 29/11/2018. If anyone misses this deadline they will need to release their mission later as a non-contest mission.

We have practically all year for this contest. If you can't get the right "feel" for Thief Gold or are stumped. You have time to replay the game. Which I am doing knowing well I just started carving into my own mission. It's only January. There's still time to pick up the engine and learn. It's not like you're forced to import custom textures. Even if you're limited to the original it shouldn't stop you from being creative!

If it's important enough you will make the time! No excuses!

Please, don't forget to contact the translators beforehand so that all missions are translated to the release.

Thanks. And you're right, it will be cool to have a mix of styles.
