The Seventh Crystal - WOW! T2 FM 2002.09.21

Good mission so far, but i have one little question. Where is the door that match Bradley's room key? I couldn't find it if my life depended on it!

    Brilliant, absolutley brilliant.

But one thing still bothers me:
    Spoiler:
Why and how did Liz and Bradey get knocked out?????

Very good, now back to my own mission... oh damn mine looks rubbish now compared to that... grrr, more redesigning [Thumbs Up!]
The Dark shadows are music to my ears.

    The Seventh Crystal - WOW!

    AMAZING!

    STUPENDOUS!

    AWESOME!

    SUPER!

    INCRAZABLE!

You all MUST play this mission(s)! It is extraoridinarily impressive, a very nice piece of work with some amazing scripting to pull off the "cinematics" which are sooooooo cool!

    WOW!

    I am completely, REALLY, stuck:
    spoiler:
I've been as far through the mansion as I can except for all the doors I can't open. I have the front foor key and the storage room key and that's it. I figure I need to get into those locked rooms on the third floor somehow and also into the library. Lockpicks don't work, no keys, doors don't bash open. I've been pretty careful to check for keys on people's belts. A hint would be appreciated.

    Oh yeah, by the way:
    Spoiler:
I was able to get into the museum by mantling over the glass wall around that little upstairs passageway. Dropping to the floor left me with 3 points of health but I survived. Guard got stuck on a display and I was able to walk around and plunder to my heart's content.

I'm guessing you didn't intend for people to be able to do that.

    This is truly awesome, Saturnine.

Far as getting into the reading room, near as I can tell:

I got inside by mantling through one of the open windows
in the hallway. (As opposed to the outside glass windows.)
The mantle is a tricky one, and there seems to be an extra
bit of body language needed, to push through. But a little
trial and effort, and you're through.

    Only thing is...

Once I'm inside, I've got no idea how to get through the
secret entrance into the Hammer crypt. Oddly enough, it
opened on its own, while the guards were chasing me. But
by the time I'd gassed them, read the notes, looted the
safe, the entrance was closed. No idea how to get it back
open-- presumably, the "level" the Lord mentions is in one
of the locked chambers, which also resist lockpick entry.

    So what now, Saturnine?

Worry not, fellow pathetic one. I'm with you, for I'm having the same problem finding the map & money bundle.

Furthermore, where are the keys to the Library and War Museum? There are a bunch of locked guest rooms on the third floor I can't open either. Where are the keys to these places? I've risen the gate the guards the crystal (I presume), I just can't penetrate the Museum.

In answer to where the money and the map is:

    spoiler:
There is a conservatory area to the east, the obvious thing there is the book which spawns the voice over "she's not listed as a guest", however, the money and the map are behind an object diagonally opposite

However, if anyone can tell me where I can get the key from Saturine's man I'll be forever grateful.

The problem is that during the first act you're so busy staring and going "how the f*** did they do that!? that you forget to listen to your objectives properly (I completed the whole of Act 2 before i'd found the map and money..doh [Erm...] )

    Spoiler:
You can find them behind the second statue in the Observatory section of the map. The observatory is the area with the blue glass roof. As for the keys, i didn't do things in the correct order but you can find most of them in the private chambers in the highest section of the mansion..you can use a mine to blow open one of the doors

Somebody who's played through in the proper order can tell you exactly which is which though? I just kind of stumbled through..

in the opening cutscene on the bridge the woman tells you exactly what you have to do in the mansion.

    Spoiler:
Get the map and the money from the area with the three statues, then a guard will appear somewhere in building carrying the key you need to get futher.

Thanks, Belboz. But I did get the loot, and the keys
    I need. Now it's just

    Spoiler:
that I still can't get into the crypt. I'm in Saturine's room, and I've found the secret room with the pirate flag. But even when Garrett says, once there, "I should be able to find something in here"... he's not! (The two boxes don't seem to open, either.) What now? I didn't end up getting the 5000 and the map until two-three other objectives had been accomplished-- have I screwed something up?

The nursery room is beautiful and moving, Saturine.
    This FM continues to amaze.

    Spoiler:
Jumo on box at the end of the attic, turn arround and look at the right pillar.there is a switch. Frob it and look down through the window. You will see the both desks in the library moving aside. Voilá!

Since this is a spoiler thread too,

Where is the door for the attic key? I finished by blasting open a few doors and couldn't find where this key went.

Do yourselves a favor, if you're reading this:

    DON'T BLOW UP ANY DOORS.

It's not Thiefly and it will mess up the experience for you.

    Spoiler:
In the place, where you knocked out the guard with the attic-key, go foward to the ceiling and turn right. There's the door to the attic.

    new question:
    Spoiler:
How do you get to the HammerMage's grave? I am assuming that it is the one underneath the floor in the main room. I've been looking for a switch, or key or something for over an hour... help!!!

I am really starting to feel stupid here...

There was a question here but I had it deleted. Figured the answer out myself .

The attic definitely should be marked clearly on the map.

    Finnished 7th crystal- wow

Many thanks to zacharias for the tip re the doors, sorry Wynne it might be unthiefy but if you can tell me where the keys are I'll replay the section of act 2.

Ethne: you go to the tomb automatically at the start of act 3, if you're trying to get in during Act 2 forget it. You'll get there eventually.

I think I was most impressed with the cut scenes, this has to be the most proffesional FM to date.

Please, please, please make a sequel, this is begging for loose ends to be tied up:

    spoiler:
    1. the real significance of the crystal.
    2. what the little M cards are?
    3. is the attacker in Act 4 Cutty?
    4. how do you escape
