Need sword in "Sir Lector Comes To Dine"

First of all, let me praise The Builder (of this scary, creepy FM, that is) for making me scream out loud twice in one minute. I haven't done that since I played Undying last winter. BTW, Undying won several "Special Category" awards from gamespot.com recently! A very atmospheric game that unfortunately not enough people played, so I guess that's why it won the award for "Best Game No One Played!"

Anyway, I can't seem to locate a sword to finish the mission. I've done every other obj but can't find a blade anywhere. Thanks for any help!

    Spoiler:
I walked up the stairs and the knifes flew across into the wall, LOL, I never jump when playing

Hi all, just wondered if anyone else picked up the knives after they were thrown? I click on it like an arrow and was able to use them as weapons. Different! BTW I tried to play Undying and made it to the first big baddie and couldn't defeat her. May try again one day. [Thumbs Up!]

That's how I killed Lector. He got stuck behind a doorway throwing his weapons at me and I just shot the knives until he died. Was very fun to shoot off knives like that.

Me too. I clicked on the knife he through at me and turned it on him. Cool idea.

I got some knifes in the pantry (outside the kitchen?) where he was, never thought about going back for the ones by the stairs though.

Anybody who remembers where the key is, in this odd funny mission?

Lector is invisible, so if the key is on him, how the heck do I get it when I've killed him?

I know it's an old mission.
But is there really no one who is able to help?

Something is wrong. He shouldn't be invisible.

Sword: Look in the blood-drenched dining room.

    Key: On Lector himself.

I just fired this up to check. Lector is not invisible. Also, the sword will kill him, as will the thrown knives.

    WALKTHROUGH

Whew! I need to go back and flesh out some of these old walks. Too anemic.
